Smith should get 10 weeks, wiping blood on someone is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen, its even lowlier than Barry Hall's incident(s).

LOW ACT

Turn it up! Next you'll be wanting opposition players to start wearing bloody masks to protect your mongrels from swine flu! While we're talking about low acts, I reckon Michael Coad would have something to say about one of you lovely boys trying to eye gouge during a marking contest on the members wing, both hands around his face with his back to the ball...class!
Anyway it was a great day, hope everyone enjoyed our hospitality! ;)

God, I love it when supporters of opposing teams go tit for tat with 'offensive' incidents to try. Boring.

I'd guess both would be in the top 10 of our B & F so far this year, in a team that has lost two games. To not realise James wasn't even on the ground for over three quarters doesn't add much to your credibility. Anyway, too old too slow you think ? Me thinks deja vous. :D

purch wrote:The Gowans were not sighted except for the obligatory dummy spit and "I'm gonna tell my mummy on you umpire" moment although I think J. Get your facts straight sjt. That doesn't add much to your credibillity now does it? Go back to my post and tell me where I mentioned too old and too slow.

I have been watching the Gowans go round for the best part of a decade sjt. And I shall reserve the right to bag any oppostion player that spits the dummy like they do when they're losing (esp. James). Well come to think of it they can even spit it when they're winning too. Great players, no doubting that. And they have done so much for the CDFC and the SANFL in general, as had been said numerous times before. Can't you see why other supporters love to hate them? It's a combination of their brilliance AND their on field antics. They would not have looked out of place in black and white in the 80s and 90s. In line with that they have helped to bring your club a remarkable run of success. Play on...

Sturt way way way way way to good on the day, no excuses.

Had to admit i had a laugh at the Sturt supporters who continued to call Chris Gowans a hack, thug, useless footballer, a never was.

They did quite down though when i reminded them that Chris alone had more premiership medals and jack oatey medals than the whole Sturt side on the park. ;)

pffft. Was my question answered sincerely?

Who is that Spurr bloke anyway?
Was he that bloke that was useless v Norwood? Kept kicking it out of bounds on the full?

So many questions..this thread has legs yet.

p.s. is there any better sight than watching Sheedy slot them from 30-40? This bloke is just about in career best form IMO.

I'm not complaining, no-one is posting to the other match review from Monday ... happy to sit back and watch these two teams (& supporters) slug it out while we slip under the radar ;)

Dedja my turn to raid the esky, do you want one while I'm up? BTW do you have the chips and dips?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Speaks volumes that Gowans wouldn't go up to any Sturt player at the end of the game and shake hands like his team mates did to a man. Sooking off to the side until Chambo and a few other Sturt boys made a point of running over to him to shake his hand.

Don't you blokes fill up on nibbles. I've got 'Italian Style' chicken in the oven & it's nearly ready.
Might have just enough time for a pale if you'd chuck one over.
'Dogwatcher', now might be a good time to open that Trentham Estate merlot mate.
Give it and a few others time to breath.

Just as I had to laugh when your goon squad behind the goals was calling Chambo a hack, useless and funniest of all a cheat.
We all have these sort of supporters, we all know it's just because we'd love to have the Gowans, you guys would love Chambo in your forward line, Crows supporting nannas would all be dripping if they had Pav, the list goes on.
Part of the fun of being a footy supporter is bagging opposition players. At least we're all not Norwood..... bagging our own players ;)

LMAO, well said.
I take it some of the bitter undertone (and spineful revenge seemingly inflicted) from DB fans has to do with the result of a certain Qualifying Final in 2008... 8) 8)

It speaks volumes that after a great win by your side, you are more concerned about the reaction of Chris Gowans rather than enjoying the win.............
