Was he ever in?

Glenelg had no chance with him in as was shown in the 2nd semi, he got dragged in a reserves match before that for crying out loud!
He was never going to play.

He got dragged for crying out loud? Tough coach, & insensitive too!

In the local Messenger paper September 24, Roy admitted they decided 10 weeks previously that Sturt and Glenelg probably had more individual talent than Centrals. Along with the usual extra training and running, you can bet they have looked very closely at Glenelg's players and systems.

And of course Glenelg have probably done the same. (daft if they don't)

Enjoy the Day CD and Glenelg Fans!

Postby Wedgie » Sat Oct 04, 2008 6:54 pm

This is directed more at the Bays fans as I obviously don't have to Centrals fans about how they should enjoy GF day, they're a lot more experienced at it than me!
Even though North lost comprehensively last year and we were all gutted (for a while) it was a great time and I miss it dearly. Bays fans probably dont have to be told this as they've been out of the big dance as long as we were I think but really enjoy the time, if you win go nuts to Chunky Custard, if you don't drown your sorrows and party none the less and get home at some ungodly hour like I will tomorrow.
I plan to be there for before game, during the game and after game celebration photos so hope to have a lot of photos on here tomorrow night for the fans to enjoy. If ya see me on the boundary line give me a hoy and say gudday, if you see me chucking my guts up trying to keep up with the winning team doing their lap of honour have a good laugh too!
Just look for the happy bloke with a camera wearing a blue and yellow Leeds top or the unhappy bloke wearing something else with a camera.
I wont promise anything 100% though with me having to be up for a 3.30am Grand Final tomorrow myself (Leeds Rhinos), I'll be watching it somewhere in town tonight drunk as a skunk.
No matter which team wins I'll be thinking of the many people on this site that follow both sides and no that someone will be bloody happy!
Best of luck to both teams on SAFootys biggest day and I hope everyone has a great time. Make as much colour and noise as possible, I look forward to the experience from an outsiders point of view again (although its not nearly as much fun).

Well done to ch 7 news devoting 6 seconds to the big game, by telling us that Central had a training session.

I reckon the Dogs may get up by a very slender margin, less than a goal.
The only thing I see that may disrupt this turn of events is the MICKAN MAN! He has a chessboard with every conceivable variation of tomorrow's game already mapped out on it, inside his head. I believe that there is no limit to how far he could possibly concentrate on anything he deems worthwhile.
I don't know if the players will be able to follow through on his plan tomorrow. It will be a cracker though, possibly the best spectacle so fat this millenium.
Tip: Central by 3 points.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

As for Stampy...I hope your team gets a huge hiding and you suffer from your own undoing.
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
