Roger James as coach, not too sure about that, but Jars must have really upset someone somhow!

Whoever it is will be getting 6 figures if the rumours are true...

I reckon Healy would be great, we can pay out the Power, we make more money than them.
In fact I might offer my services to the NAFC as Im an expert at paying out the Power!

Heals would make a great coach, was destined to be the next Centrals coach until the Power nabbed him. North could do far worse than appointing him.

He did look to be 'studying' more than celebrating in the rooms after the game on Sunday...

While I wouldn't have a problem with Heals coaching NA in 2009...

How do the North fans "honestly" feel about the impending coaching appointment ???

Are they happy to go with an untried coach (Heals only coached ressies for 1 year, Roger James not coached at all) or would they prefer someone with senior coaching experience ???

How much experience did Roy Laird have back in 2003?

He had the 02 reserves flag under his belt... Which gives him 6 from 7 seasons as coach.

I know, I was just stirring the big man because he dropped the words "senior coach" in his required resume .... what if the Doggies had demanded the same in 2003

I am not entirely sure the club knew they had the right man, they just had the guy who had potential in January when Clarko departed. Turns out a great result for everyone concerned, even Clarko.

Not trying to detract from Lairdy here (and I know I'll cop it regardless), but as an outsider I've always believed CDFC's success came from their new found charter and culture that they instituted when they had pretty much "had enough" of a certain team's dominance and became fair dinkum about their own success.

Not suggesting Lairdy hasn't played a big part in that, but putting the Horse before the cart I reckon the masterminds of the clubs direction back in the mid-late 90's (and those who ensured it was adhered to) are the ones who should receive the greatest adulation.

And they both took on "rookie" coaches so perhaps their next contracts will be closer to the mark.
