I'd imagine he and Norwood have spoken, but don't think it's ever been a certainty like many seem to think

We haven’t won a premiership in 54 years, so I think there more than just a few issues at South

Tarak Redigolo and Matt Rankine out as retirees with Emanuele Irra back with South. If you like rumours apparently Liddle, Cross and Crabb all playing on next year with the Panthers.

Are South a Liddle Cross that they have caught Crabb(s)?

I give up G.
Good luck to him. I enjoyed his games when he played for us.
Those that are gonna leave will leave and whoever stays or joins us I will support. It appears there aren't as many leaving as was suggested in some quarters.

Any Central player who returns to us from the AFL is a bonus, I now don't expect any of them to return, which seems to be the trend now.

He is still available to clubs in the southern winter but wont be returning to Centrals, will probably be in country Victoria

that's because we won't pay him what we have been paying him.

Might be one of the reasons why he won't return to Centrals but it's still a fact.

STAR South Adelaide midfielder Nick Liddle has confirmed he will extend his successful stint with the Panthers into a 10th season next year.

While Liddle has yet to put his signature on a contract, his victory speech as the Knuckey Cup club champion on Saturday night included the words “I’m looking forward to extending next year”.

The victory was his fifth in the award and only Panthers’ legends Peter Darley and Jim Deane have been crowned the club’s best and fairest more with seven and six respectively.

Liddle has questioned his future for the past two years and there was again uncertainty whether he would continue next season after being married in February and his graduation from Flinders University as a teacher.

“I’ve had a great eight or nine years here and I’m looking forward to, with Crabby (Brad Crabb) and Crossy (Joel Cross), to extending next year,” Liddle said.

The crowd at the best and fairest awards cheered and clapped, such is Liddle’s popularity at Noarlunga Oval, and he responded: “There is no pen yet. But all three of us are really excited.

“The young guys coming through and the players we have here ... we saw with North Adelaide this year, anyone can win it.
