The old days of the mud trap at Norwood Oval are long gone.
You don't play international baseball on a poor surface !

Norwood had the worst surface last season and by far. Nathan Basset complained the previous year that the ground was unfit for league football. Almost all due to overuse. Still one of the best grounds for a game though.

The Norwood surface used to be terrible, but IMO it has been excellent the last two or three years.

I looked at the Bay Oval a week or so ago and it's comfortabl the best it's ever been, presumably because of the cricket situation.
