Judd Robson has been cleared by the bloods to play the trial games with the eagles. After the trial games, the eagles and the bloods will work out a fee that is good for both clubs!!

So the eagles may well just ask him to perform crap so they can pay as little transfer fee as possible.

I wouldn't think that would be the case Bloods08. I would think Judd would be doing everything he can to earn himself a league spot so he would be giving it his all.

They dont know what he plays like, so no way in hell would he do this. It would cost him any chance of getting a spot on their list! At first, westies wanted the transfer money before the trial games, but eagles were not willing to do so as they had not seen him play at all. Thats where the agreement has come in

Interesting strategy, recruiting a player you've never seen play before.

Eagles seem to have picked up a few former West Adelaide players this off season. Must be due to all of our recent success ;)

Michael Godden would have coached against Robson for two seasons so he would have some understanding of some his strengths and weaknesses.

Can any Norwood folk confirm that Scott Borlace will soon be announcing his retirement from footy and will subsequently move into the position previously occupied by Jarred Cotton?

I would think he would be an added back up seeing Parry will be out until round 5 or 6.And I think "GODS" would know what he plays like.
Some say his kicking is bad seeing the WWTFC had O'hara as a second ruckman for years I am certain we would cope.
Seeing many of our incoming ruck man are man mountains I'd be happy if he stayed. Some like English need to baulk up a bit!!

Persistent rumour Rhett Biglands making a come back ? Is he or isn't he.Is he the replacement for the first six weeks. He's done all the pre-season training including the body on body stuff could he step out from the ruck coach into a pinch hitting experienced ruck!!

On another note as a returning "IN" James Stewart looks fantastic.Seems he has added some muscle in his year at the sharks. And he was working well in the midfield group learning from vetrans cica and Rhett Biglands last night ;)

Cheers

Robson was an under 17 Eagle IIRC.
Seems at one point Westies fans were saying Robson had left the Eagles. When he was still at Eagles training.I had to ask the club president
Well did west want Greiger ?
And Welsh wanted to play footy for his mate after he phoned him.According to Welsh at the meet the coach and players night.

micky, Scott Welsh was happy to play for Westies, but West thought his financial terms weren't remotely acceptable. tne Eagles accepted them. I'm sure Scott was happy to play for Micky Godden, but that wasn't his main reason.

Judd never played a 17s game altho did train with them at the eagles.
Judd did have a couple trainings off the Eagles during this dispute between the two clubs because he thought he was not going to be allowed to play at all so didnt bother training.

And Nickname, they have not actually recruited him, they have just allowed him to do a preseason and play trial games with them to see what he has!
