Another one that slipped through, a greyhound about 4-5 years ago 'Norma Stitz'.

Also there was a horse a while back called Myface. The trainer used to love watching the girls in the crowd yell "come on Myface"

voice there have been plenty of names that have 'got through' over the years......try this one from the dogs a few years ago

There's a horse going around somewhere in Australia along the lines of 'Julia's Guilt' or something like that, perhaps a reference to the PM.

About 5 years ago there was a forced name change on a thoroughbred 'Johnny Say Sorry' it wouldn't surprise me if the Liberal Party complained about it, w***ers!!

I couldn't care less that Norwood has picked up Eagleton. The facts are you have signed Matt Suckling from Pt. Melbourne.

 Yeah right

Not according to the NFC website, the club has always been good at announcing new recruits and so far ziltch, I will believe it when I see it on that site meantime, your guessing. 8)

Cheers,

I think an apology maybe in order.

SDK wrote:We are pleased to announce two new signings for season 2011.

Mat Suckling is a 21 year old, 184cm, 85kg midfielder from Port Melbourne & Jordan Johns a 19 year old, 185cm, 80kg wingman or half back from South Adelaide (via Port Power rookie list). Both have committed for the next two seasons.

Mat is strong bodied with good skills, terrific running abilities & a fierce desire for the contest.

Jordan initially recruited by Port Power as a scholarship player from Broken Hill has good leg speed, uses the ball really well by hand or foot & will add to our running power off half back or wing.

We welcome both boys to our club & look forward to their contribution over the coming seasons.

Football Operations Manager

No apology needed thanks, but I did say that the NFC had not released anything on their website, got my copy of Mark Ross's e-mail this morning and can now reveal that whilst we had his signature the transfer fee asked was way too high and it was in the doubtful tray till Saturday

Cheers,

I thought when pen hits paper, it's a done deal? Can't see how one party can request more after that fact, even in any contract deal :?

Who is the former Norwood premiership legend from the 80s who is considering a CE job offer in the AFL?

By all reports from Legs fans, he is a fantastic operator and has done great things for the Norwood FC post playing days...

I hear Glenelg are hosting on-ball hard-nut Brent McLeod from the Geelong Falcons. Could be a handy addition to their mid-field.
