They must have a bye this week. They're not on the SANFL website

Within the 18 games in the season, there are 9 occasions where Centrals play a team who had the bye the previous week. And it's both times we play the Crows and both times we play the Power.

Out of the 9 sides you could be playing in any given week, if 2 of them had the bye last week you have less than 1 in 4 chance of playing a fresh opponent. It happens to us 1 in 2. I haven't been through the fixture to see who is benefiting from our misfortune, but this sort of maths is a zero sum game so someone is.

Apart from four or five Friday night games at Norwood, every match of every round will start at 2.10pm Saturday as of next season.

The draw this year is terrible and shows no respect for the league clubs.

It's all about the Cows & the Smears.

Said that from Day 1 The clubs that voted yes just turned around and bent over and were reamed by the Cows & Smears.

Kick them out.

8 team comp
21 rounds
Everybody plays each other 3 times

Simple

No more Byes!!!!!!!

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

It's the SANFLs fault mate, no one is blaming the Eagles.
It doesn't matter why clubs ask for as they usually get the opposite if Norths draw is any indication.

Exactly my point.
They are trying to stretch a 10 team comp out to the same length as an 18 team comp. So you either play each other more times or you have to have a load of byes like we have now.

They should either shorten the season and get rid of the byes or find a way to play more games. Ideally 8 teams play each other 3 times.

With the Cows now whingeing about the byes I'd expect the draw to change significantly next year to suit them

Those two posts together suggest a nasty scenario...

How long until the Clowns start pestering the SANFL to kick out (or merge off) two sovereign teams in order to obtain an 8-team league in which they don't have to deal with byes?

To play with themselves?

Not a very smart move by them when their conditions of entry can be altered....

Could well be common knowledge, I wouldn't know if it was! Good news for the comp if it can reclaim Saturday afternoons.
