Siren goes for half time, that quarter lasted 27:15.

Goldsworthy (10 disposals in Q2), Martyn (10), Poole (8) and Rowntree (8 and 3 tackles) were all brilliant that term as the Eagles kicked 3.3 to 0.1 in the second quarter, comfortably winning the disposals (99-62) and cont poss (41-25) to build a 25-point half time advantage.

Rowntree leads all on the ground with 12 disposals and 8 tackles while Allmond and Sturt's Kirkwood have had 12 each too.

What's going on there Scott? I can't get to a TV and just reading the scores it looks as though Sturt's getting smashed everywhere.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Eagles just running harder, slipping tackles easier and hitting targets more, winning more of the contests and finding numbers on the outside fairly comfortably. Sturt making hard work in a lot of contests; Eagles pressure on the ball carrier is pretty good, leading to more rushed disposals.

Don't really think Sturt is necessarily getting smashed or out of the contest. Those two late goals by Wundke both really shouldn't have happened and the margin should have been two goals at the half.

Coad and Bruggemann have had no impact (the latter dropped an easy marking attempt in the first term that should have at least resulted in a score).

Thanks Scott. The Eagles perhaps have a game plan suited to the likes of Sturt and Norwood? I'm worried that the continued lack of score might contribute to silly errors by the Blues, the margin is still within reach, but its games like this where one side tends to break, suffocated out of it and it ends in a 10 goal rout.
Sturt needs to find something...
