You'd hope Bassett was taken out of context and the observations were wrong, be interesting to see a video of it if there was one.

Doesn't Centerlink provide the $30 ? ;)

Nah, I stole it from your car, you twat. ;)
At least you're getting value for money - two games!

come on mate, not about the money, it is about supporting our beloved club.

There was a wink. I'm going to be there - leave once our boys have run a lap of honour with the trophy. The first of Norwood's losses on the day.

Unfortunately, if you have no interest in anything but the main game $30 is still a bit over the top.
(Especially if most of it is to prop up Port. ;) )

Would have though you'd be arcing up about Collins' outrageous stereotype of Norwood fans being rich enough to afford the $30.

After all, that kind of lazy cliche seems to offend you so easily normally. ;)

It did raise my eyebrows, no doubt. But, I thought it was up to you to bring it up.
Anyway, the way some Norwood supporters are happy to throw THAT stereotype about the CDFC around, you'd assume that paying for tickets wouldn't be a problem for them.

Surely now that you will have to give up smoking cheroots at the Parade, you will save enough over the year to cover entry to the GF?

I would imagine (I don't speak with Bass) that he's just locked into a mindset of worrying about things within his control, ahead of this weekend.

Bass is definitely a different cat - Some will take to him and others will loathe him, don't think there's much middle ground.

As coach of my club, I don't have a problem (in this particular instance) with him focussing just on us and what he can do to help us (hopefully) win this weekend .. Once the GF is out of the way, then hopefully he can offer some constructive comment on how he believes the league can be improved.

Congratulations to West and Norwood for making the GF. One of them will break their long drought. Hope it is a close match, but I doubt it...

I'm going to the GF hopeing to see Nwd thrash Westies not to see/hear some second rate cover band. Years ago, paid $90 just to see the real RS at Footy Park and ended up only seeing them on the video screen  . The only time a GF prematch entertainment got on a highlights reel was 84 when that singer who was doing her act when Balmy and Evans were 'dancing' to the National Anthem. Only hope the Legs Ressies are in a commanding lead when their final siren goes. Would hate for them to lose just because they have to end the ressies game before full time just so the pregame band can annoy us with their noise.

p.s. see you there Tazz :D

As a Dogs supporter I will give myself a well deserved day off this Sunday, albeit taking a keen interest on TV. Good luck to both teams and may the best team win.

Interested to see if more neutrals attend now that a non CDFC GF has eventuated - would have thought that 28K is the benchmark crowd given that CD v WA attracted that number in 2003.

ps - note to Andy C - make sure your players know which way they are kicking early in the game when the nerves are jangling ;)

As you're a Glg supporter, I can understand that you're disappointed over missing out on a Finals campaign AGAIN

Isn't this the first year they've missed out on finals in quite a while?

Collins speaks well. Seems to understand football is a game bigger than the individual and footy clubs form a part of the local community.

Obviously Bassett does not and seems to think it's about "me".
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
