Wait, so you think it's odd for a player to celebrate a team mate kicking a goal to seal a win vs the top side
:?

Might have to do some digging to find some 90s action of centrals players doing the same thing and see if you think it's odd

Sour grapes I reckon. Even tho your club has been very successful, it still hurts losing to the bottom side I guess.

Very odd.

IIRC the biggest celebrations by the players were when Mayes kicked his goals, looked to me like the established players were giving him a huge pat on the back.

I was talking about the players. No issue with fans celebrating. But players celebrating in such a manner is odd. They all got around Mayes when he kicked his second and came from all over the ground. The sort of celebration normally saved for a kid's first ever league goal, a player's 10th for the day or 100th for a season or a goal to go in front late in the game. But it was none of those. Then the next one, Armstrong wasn't involved in the play and started jumping in the air pumping his fists on the wing. Very odd.

Interesting people seem to think the comment was stupid, yet nobody is actually disputing what I've said or the conclusion it says something about North. Apart from the idiots who didn't understand and didn't bother to seek clarification. Loved Jimmy's post about being stupid when he probably didn't see any of the game and has that avatar of John Hinge. Thanks for the irony. Lol.

Didn't need to see any of the game to know the comment was stupid. Anyone could see that. And wtf has my avatar got to do with anything. Very odd Graham.

Yep, we are odds on now to get the spoon. And in two weeks time we play you guys...don't think you will lose to the bottom side twice in a row,not sure if that has been done. If we do get up and kick away in the last qtr, I would be interested to see how the players celebrations are received by certain fans ;)

It would be ironic if we pummel Sturt next game which may well ensure that they get the wooden spoon and not Norf

Best game by the Chooks this year against the premiers. Two gun players out, Allerway and Allen for a half, the bench depleted with Allen out for the game, two debutants in the side and they beat the top side by 30 plus points. How sweet it was, to NOT HEAR the you dogs chant at Rooster Park !!!!!!!
Well played and to my calculations we only gave the dogs 2 clear goals from stupid turn-overs, things are looking up. Miles had his best game for the club and out rucked his opponent in Sutherland with ease. Well done Todd.

Craig Brooks should have left Boras at FF and not moved him all over the park for starters and he might have performed better and how can you say Mason was soundly beaten when he was named second best? You haven't a clue including as Jimmy pointed out spelling ALLAN'S name correctly!

Another issue raised was, IF CD had 19 men on the park, was their an opportunity for NA to ask for a count
This would have made the CD score back to zero ?

What happened ?
Freddy Bills , Johnny Cassin might be interested, and I definately am

Can anyone confirm

From what I understand and have been told, at the start of the 2nd term, Cameron Milne was due to start on the ground as the lead ruckman for Central. It was discovered he was the 19th man on the ground (not sure which Dogs player was on when they weren't supposed to be?) and tried to 'sneak' off the ground over the boundary line (and not through the interchange gates),

Apparently, a boundary umpire noticed Milne trying to inconspicuously sneak off the ground and at the half time break Central's officials were advised that he was unable to take no further part in the game from that point in time. From there on in, I do not know if North Adelaide were even aware of it, made any mention of it to officials post or during the game or wanted the points stripped?

Maybe we will hear more about it later in the week, who knows?

Sounds like an interchange gate infringement (Like when Heath hopwood didn't go through the "gates", during the GF). If the opposing captain didn't pick it up and call a count at the time, then nothing happens, other than the player not being able to return. I reckon.
It happened in the AFL in a Sydney game, hence the introduction of the interchange gate rule change. The free kick and fifty metre penalty.

Yeah, I think the only difference to the Hoppy scenario is that Milne wasn't injured and he tried to sneak over the boundary line with the ball on the other side of the ground, but with 3 boundary umpires now, one of them spotted it and mentioned it to the field umpires at half time who advised Central then.

Dont particularly want to get into a slanging match with a superior football intellect but the very fact that a gun full forward, we hope, got moved from his preferred position would only back up the fact that he got beaten on the day and has to improve to make the league side. IMO Mason did some good stuff and if the coaching staff recon he was second best, well good on him, but guess what, I dont agree.A Macca has been in the best players as well but has not got his spot back in the league . I'm not gunna start a war over a difference of opinion. Move on to next week.
