Too right Micky!
I too believe that Zipzap's picture of that sea-monster puppet was the real reason for the Eagles' dominating performance yesterday. I can just see Godden, looking very William Wallace like, in the changerooms before the game angrily waving Sigmund the Sea Monster before the eyes of his huddled charges as a motivational tool for grinding the Blues into the grass of AAMI! "This is what that arrogant mob of typical Sturt fans think of us!" he would have cried, "If you do not repay those blue hearted fiends for this eternal insult, years from now when you are slowly rotting away in the docility of allowing this slander to have passed, and you look back on your life, what would you give to exchange all those days for just one chance, just once chance, to go back and fight the Blues and their insulting Sigmund the Sea Monster with all your heart and soul at AAMI today?"
The Elimination Final was in the bag before either side took the field IMO.

Well that's got me convinced!
Leading Teams???? Bahh-humbug. Nothing but nit picking amongst a group of people......
Why would you want to go thru that program especially when WWT have got STSM!!!!
Nice on Theri, haven't laughed so hard since 76'ers' Richard Williams tirade late in the last 1/4 on Sunday

To put this 'to bed', this was posted @ 8:30am last Tuesday, on OUR site...

No, no, no...

It has NOTHING to do with US, the supporters.
It is about the PLAYERS & the pride THEY have in their OWN performance.
We supporters/members will continue to support the club, next year & beyond.

The PLAYERS are the ones who put in the weekly grind of training, injury management & games.
It is for THEM that they improve their performance - we just go along for the ride.

I hope that THEY accept that what has been 'dished up' the past 2 weeks reflects badly on THEM, not us.

Surely you're not saying that it had an impact on the result of the match. Eagles were first to the ball for the most part and we know when your first to the ball you will win the lions share of the frees. Simply put you were outclassed by a well drilled Eagles outfit. A 5th placed finishing position is probably an accurate indicator to your season as a whole. Very up and down all season long.

He did actually mention on a couple of posts after the original comment that it didn't affect the outcome and it wasn't favourable to any side. Just that it was terrible all together.

I never said that it affected sturt or eagles, it was just bad umpiring full stop, sturt were crap but the amount of frees and 25m given out today and in a final was just ridiculous

Well to their credit my Sturt workmates did turn up to work today but they kept a very low profile and one of them managed to avoid me all day.

The one I did manage to chat to mentioned that the Sturt "Sleeping Giant" was more sleeping than giant on Sunday...

Is it correct in saying the Eagles are one loss away from elimination? ;)

If I were an Eagles fan, I'd keep that in the back of my mind.

I direct you Booney, to the post earlier in this thread - "Questions"

Never said anything different - you just like to play 'games', as a Moderator I would expect that you had READ it already.
(You appear to delete/moderate more than you read - 'Power' is not just a Football Club)

I am unsure about your 'bandwidth jibe' - I assume that is directed @ others.
As for '3 supporters' - are we not entitled to comment or support our club?
As a FULLY paid up member (I wonder how many on here are actually MEMBERS of their club) I think I'm entitled to comment.
Sure, I take the p**s now & then - who doesn't? However, it appears that some particular club supporters are a little more 'precious' than others.

I admire the South supporters who come on here consistantly - despite having a club that has 'underperformed' at best.

Just so you all know...

I will be away from Monday to Friday NEXT week.
I won't be @ the game Sunday either - my son has a Swimming Carnival & HE is more important than Footy BTW

That said, I will post on Sunday night - win or lose.

If we lose, you blokes can go for your life with the jibes - I am happy to read them when I get back, in the 6 years on here I have been nothing, if not fair & parocial to my club & the SANFL...

Toodles ;)

Take a moment to consider how many posts are made daily on this site LEH, many of them absolute bollocks. Pretty tough to read all the posts made and I would say all the moderators are in the same boat. As for 'play games', if you are upset that you're "Sturt imploding thread' was deleted I dont see what the problem is.Threads like that prove to be of only negative content and usually end up way off track and merely discuss an issue that already has or is being discussed elsewhere.
LEH wrote:(You appear to delete/moderate more than you read - 'Power' is not just a Football Club)

Not exactly sure what you mean here. If I delete more than I read.....? As for the 'Power' comment, I really dont know what you mean.

Was it me who made a comment about the Eagles site and bandwidth? No need to apologise.

Above is what you said.

An Elimination Final is just that, mothballs for the loser, another knock out final for the winner.
On today's showing, the eagles are an even-money bet next week.
Having said @ the beginning of the year (read the posts) - we will finish between 3rd & 6th, no reason to change that view.

This was stated on PAGE 2 of this thread - surely if you are going to 'remind people' WITHIN a thread, then you would READ the entire thread 1st??

As for Power - you hold the 'POWER' by picking & choosing what to read & delete - clearly there are different rules applied to different supporters. The 'poster' can only read & post - hoping that things are left on.

As for apologies - I am aware that VOICE made the comment - sorry about that, perhaps I should've been more specific.

Im afraid I can't see the relevance of your club membership here mate .. It is not a pre-requisite for use of this site.

If you'd paid a fee to use this site and believed you were receiving unfair service then I would see the grounds for a complaint, but it is in fact a FREE site offered to you, me, Booney and everyone else, with very few limitations placed on us (and certainly none that I can see as unreasonable).

Booney is upholding his VOLUNTARY position as a moderator in attempt to keep the site operating smoothly and has acted both accordingly and appropriately, if you take issue with that then I would suggest a PM or email to a higher authority (ie, Wedgie or Dutchy).
