Despite not playing in the game yesterday drifter, Richie was quite emotional out on the ground post game and in the rooms after...

Just a feeling I got but also whispers floating around for a few weeks now that he had already decided this would be it. Nothing confirmed though as yet.

Probably after seeing Sibenaler with a premiership medal around his neck

Yeah, no doubt happy for Evil but if you are implying that it was because Richie felt Sibenaler was in the side at his expense, then you are WAY OFF the money Dutchy, that's not Richie at all.

If anyone would feel hard done by with Evil's return it would have to be young Corey Reichert who played more the key defensive role that Sibenaler plays, not a small defender like Cochrane.

Reichert or Hardy would have been the CHB options if Sibenaler wasn't playing.

Isn't it great to have so many old, slow, useless passengers in our side who manage to win premierships year after year?

Amazing. A West Adelaide player would have to have played for about 100 years to have won that many flags.

Barracking for South, I don't know why I've voiced any opinion. I'm not going to be alive for a SANFL flag...

Think Centrals lack of pace is a myth. Their tackling pressure was fast and intense yesterday.

Its been a very tough year for Ritchie Cochrane, he would have been dissapointed to have missed out on another premiership, BUT he understood his form didnt warrant selection.

No matter what Ritchie decides to do in the future i wish him all the best and happiness.

So Daniel Schell has "officially" called it a day, has anyone else done so since the GF?

Mostly a montage of the facts been levelled at our playing group.

Exactly correct. Don't need to be half a yard faster if you think half a second faster. Gowans still get into space better than most in the comp.

But most know it's garbage. Footy doesn't reward the more "deserving". Richie probably worked harder than many far more decorated players and while he was richly rewarded compared to many, no doubt he "deserved" to play more than Sibenaler or Sutherland. So did Scott Lee, Gary Window and Roger Girdham. Footy isn't sentimental, it's ruthless. Took us 35 years to learn that. Glenelg still trying.

When you cant keep up with an argument just bring out the old Glenelg jokes, where was I discussing Glenelg? If you want to compare we only took 13 years to get our 1st :D

You completely missed the point again, never said Cochrane deserved a game.

Who was the leader of the defense in the past few years? Who came in to take that role late in the season?

I don't know if I read it on this site, in the paper, on somewhere else, but it appears they are having a crack at next year- going for the record of SANFL flags- to hold it in their own right, not share with Motley.

They don't care about records, they love the club amd just love to play the game. They've said for a couple of years they'll probably keep going until Roy tells them they're not needed (too old, too slow..... ;) )
