Yes Wedgie I did start up a thread based on the reports laid in this match. I don't have a problem with anyone commenting about this either. What I do have a problem with is when someone is labelled a sniper when it's clearly not true ! Too many times when the Eagles have beaten North i've sifted through loads of posts which are a load of bs. I tend to believe it's supporters of the cocks that have the inferiority complex not the Eagles supporters.

ehl, you are defending actions you have no idea about. Whilst i don't think Grocke is a sniper his actions were pretty ordinary. Regardless you don't have any idea having not seen what happened. Can you perhaps understand how supporters might get a bit worked up on the day and use the label of 'ssniper' when they see a player from their side get layed out and sent to hospital by a cheap shot? The guy did get 3 weeks after all. Clearly he did something wrong. Footy is an emotional game.

If you wish to comment that is fine just don't expect to be taken seriously when you attempt to defend things you haven't seen.

Why is that after a loss to the Eagles all we hear from North supporters is whinging and whining about one thing or the other. Why can't you just accept that you have been beaten by a better team on the day. Why is it always the umpires this or that or that sniping Eagles player. Why can't you just accept the Eagles are better than you.

Yes please show me where in any of my posts that I (or for that matter any other North supporter) have not accepted we were beaten by a better team and posted words to support your claim?

P.S. Why is is that after any Eagles win against anyone we have to put up with the childish "mine is bigger than yours" type posts from the likes of Mickyj and yourself??? Are you reflective of the average age / mental state of the bulk of Eagles supporters who use forums like this? But I suppose if I followed a club that originated from Woodville and West Torrens I would have some inferority issues too?

Wade Thompson kicked two of the goals of the year Saturday, One from about 45M out deep in the scoreboard pocket and earlier on one deep in the south western pocket from about 40M. Seems to have talent to burn, has he been injured or in the two's due to form?

He's been injured. He fractured an eye socket in the trial games. He'd have to be a chance to play seniors this week. He was very disappointing last year, though.

I didn't see the goal from the scoreboard pocket but the one from the south western pocket he should have kicked to the top of the square where he had a teamate on his own. Good goal sure but not the percentage play at all. He needs to improve in that area.

Yeah but if 5 people stop posting and because of those 5 stopping posting 15 others start posting I'm sure as hell not going to be worried or upset about it.
If a couple of people who bring the site down leave or post less which encourages more quality posters then I'm happy and the stats indicate that is the case.

The bump I was referring to earlier was around the 19:00 of the 3rd qtr. Interesting that it was deemed a free kick, yet Salter's bump didn't.

Salter will more than likely get a game, as those types of shirtfronts, which was a fraction too late, and a fraction too high are a big no no.

Whyman will get a week. Couldn't even hit the target with a punch yesterday.

Grocke 1-2 weeks? Was reported by umpire, commentators and spectators all seen the incident, so there is no denying Grocke struck Macca. Baffling how the Eagles still maintained the ball, after two reports.

Still can't remember that bump TSG, so can't comment.

But Salter's bump was definitely paid a free kick to advantage. The North player who received the handball turned it over with his kick. Why, then this turnover wasn't reversed and North received a free on the outer wing after Grocke's actions, which the umpire obviously saw, I have no idea.

Re the bump by the North player resulting in the free ..... heard he asked why and was told by the ump that he went at the player. HoHum

Looks like you can no longer go for the player with the ball, only after disposal or behind play.

I was watching through binos and saw the punch to Macca. It was a clenched fist in a slightly upward motion.
