My take on the interview?

If Cornesy was in Egypt, Backwell would be in DENIAL.

The whole Backwell saga and him not playing in 2010 has as much to do with his off field issue pre Xmas 2009 as it does with him ignoring Club orders re how many games he could play in the NTFL.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Sorry Stevie AA doesnt look to have podcast it.

It was a really strange interview. Obviously one Rowe wasnt too keen to get involved in but on occasions did because he wanted to (rightfully so) stand by the coaching staff and their decision.

Cornes cant believe a simple "im sorry" wont fix it and that having Brett around the club for a year paying his penance is ridiculous.

Brett claims he didnt know he was doing anything wrong. Says he's ready and right to play except his contract was terminated....

Very gracious of you topsy. However the idea of making a friendly wager that I'd be 95% guaranteed to win is strangely unappealing to me. Maybe if and when the Bays return to mediocrity - or the Legs rise from it - I'll be keener for a rematch.

Bump.

Hooray for my own arrogance! It saved me from forking out for a $30 bottle of red!

topsy - if our paths cross before next season, you may claim a glass of red from me anyway. Good luck to you and yours in the remainder of the finals.

Wouldn't he be in semi retirement at North as we're a club permanently in semi retirement?
