I liked the way Crusty went about his football and his AFL career was cut short - very good to see him back in the SANFL !!!

Just wished he was comin over to the double blues as well but i dont think we would of fit him under our salary cap ;)
It is what it is !!!

Has Bode transferred on the sly to Centrals?

If that was the case Dutchy wouldn't have used the phrase "be more likely"... ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

A little piece on Bode coming out of retirement for the Tigers...

FORMER AFL midfielder Matthew Bode is set to come out of retirement and resume his football career with Glenelg this season.

The 30-year-old had his first training session with the Tigers last night (Wednesday) and won three of the four 1km time trials.

If he gets through the next month of training, it’s expected he would commit to the Tigers in 2010.

``We’re very optimistic about Matty having another go,’’ Glenelg coach Mark Mickan.

``He’s expressed an interest in it and we’ll see how he goes at training.’’

Bode, who quit SANFL football after opening a gym at Somerton Park in 2008, would add some much-needed experience to the Glenelg side that has lost Adam Fisher, Justin McConnell, Matthew Duldig.

``He would bring experience, his ability to kick goals and some real grunt to the team,’’ Mickan said.

Bode played 29 games with the Power and 79 with the Crows between 1998-2007

When you play for Norwood that's all you've got to look forward to.
