Had great pace and athleticism at West but just couldn't get near the footy, even in the reserves. Used to win our time trials by ridiculous amounts. Watched him one night give the squad nearly half a lap in a time trial an still won

When he was at Brisbane, one Pre-Season he did a 3km time trial that was better than Kane Cornes' best time...

Should be a good pick up for the Panthers, if he can find the ball a bit more and use it...

Glenelg has added former North Adelaide utility Rhys O’Keeffe as it seeks to add bigger bodies to its developing midfield unit.

Entering his second season at the helm, Tigers coach Matt Lokan identified a need to bolster the physical strength of his on-ball brigade, with solidly built Dylan Reinbrecht (Norwood) and Ben Sawford (Port) also joining in the off-season.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Lokan said O’Keeffe – who measures in at a sizeable 188cm and 88kg – had been quick to impress on the track since arriving at Brighton Road.

The return of favourite sons Ruory Kirkby and James Sellar will add vital experience to the bigman department, with Sellar likely to spend time in the ruck with the departure of Josh Miller (Norwood), Lachlan Button (study) and Tom Carter (work).

Lokan revealed the flexible Warrick McGinty would likely start at the centre bounce, with the Bays mentor sensing SANFL ruckmen will need to be more mobile due to the 50-cap on rotations being introduced in 2016.

The Tigers will hold an internal trial the week before kicking off their trial match campaign against Sturt at Football Park on Saturday February 27.

188cms and 88kg is a "bigger body"?
Must have some skinny runts at Glenelg.

Good luck re managing his off field stuff. He was a major catalyst re the "off field social problem" that have cost a few players at Prospect. Interestingly a number of other clubs turned him flat down when he was peddling for a game.

Not the first time a Bay player needs a bike to keep up with the play.

Regarding who? T Sumner? I thought this wouldn't be the case as he is not in our squad

Glenelg still have to pay for him, and I think the clubs have agreed on money.

I just assumed the transfer fee would have been between his amateur league club that he played for last year and the Bays. Wasn't he playing up in Riverland last year?
