Sanfl will get the gate. Westies will get the catering would be my guess.

Yeah, probably the case. There may be a one-off nominal amount for being the host club, perhaps?

if this is the case, they should play the state game at a different ground every year, or is this already the deal.

Maybe they are as the last game was at Glenelg. Elizabeth is too far to play a state game at though ;)

The final team of 22 has been picked for this game against the NEAFL...

http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/2030/

Michael Coad and Korey Beard drop out fo the squad of 24 and will be the 2 emergencies...

F: Meiklejohn, Wundke, Campbell
HF: Goldsworthy, Ainger, Beech
C: Jarrad, Schmidt, O’Hara
HB: Ferguson, Georgiou, Thomas
B: Caire, Tippett, Thring

R: Parry, Liddle, Boyd
INT: Gray, Suckling, Cross, Ryswyk
EMG: Coad, Beard

It looks a pretty balanced, quick side for mine. Beard unlucky, perhaps and COady not in great form due to injury issues, so no surprise there...

Can't really complain with that side. Prob the strongest state side we have put up in about 5 or 6 years I'd say. Looking forward to it.

Still think Sumner should be in it, but otherwise a good side and one not without experience in state matches. The forward line looks like it could be a bit top heavy but I'm sure the selectors know a bit about the opposition. SA by 45 points.

You are probably right Big Phil & Co I should probably say nothing if it is negative but it just annoys me why the SANFL would organize such a pointless game.
Fair enough those who want to go fine, hope you enjoy yourself and hope Westies can make a buck or two.

I agree he's a gun at this level and blew Norwood away a few weeks back.

That said it always means you've got to find someone to boot out for them and I haven't seen enough of the other players to judge that.

Problem is who doesn't play then. For me Ben MacCredie should be in the team may at Beechys expense

Very good looking side, although too many ex-Panthers in there for my liking ;)

Shame the game isn't Friday night instead.

I'm disgusted by the feeble SANFL promotion for a state game !
We should have numerous anti-AFL banners around the ground IMHO.
