I wonder how that will affect the SANFL sides surely they won't get a bye either side of foxtel cup game.

Will they get a given a bye the weekend before or after the FC game, what would you prefer?

I think the bye will come the weekend before and the next SANFL match will be on the following Sunday.

Will the WAFC be booking the local school bus to get them there given their poor financial state or are they going to car pool?

Three quarters of their team are from there anyhow, so shouldn`t be a problem.

They look to have the format right this year and good to see the top two teams enter. Should make for good viewing on a Tuesday night. Hopefully now this competition can build some strength and the SANFL isn't effected so much fixture wise having only two teams play a possible 3 games as opposed to 3 teams play a possible 4 games.

Chandler getting a golden ticket to the SMA wonderland at least gives them a fighting chance.

Westies have been caught cheating more times than they have won premierships in the last 50 years. Keep up the good work.

Chance for East Frem to square the ledger at 1 all with Norwood in 2013. The teams met in a May 1978 NFL game at Nwd Oval. Nwd lead 7.6 to E.Frem 5.8 at half time before dominating the 2nd half to win 21.12 to 13.9. Phil Gallagher was named best for Nwd and Sapwell and Turbill each kicked 3 goals. Jim Sewell kicked 5 and Ken Judge 2 for the visitors. That week Nwd beat Woodville by 101 pts on the Saturday, East Frem by 51 on the Tuesday night and then Centrals by 47 pts the following Sunday, after leading by 63 pts at half time.

All I know is that North couldn't match the payments paid to Wundke or to Ainger, so are you suggesting that there are other teams making even larger under the table payments.

At the Eagles we desperately needed a big CHF so paying top $ wasn't an issue.
We just were not as fortunate as North who have Stuart Hill and don't need to spend big on quality big forwards! ;)

Let's hope Ainger gives you more value for his big $$$ than Eddy gave you! :-)

Port v West Adelaide at MCG is an interesting decision..... considering the stadium is huge... the atmosphere will be poor when Docklands would have been a better option (I can only presume the MCG is cheaper).

Thats OK the Borough dont lose at the 'G' often.......

anyway its those Toffs at Norwood we really want to play - hope they have a white jumper to change into.

When Westies play at the MCG they should play on less than half the ground and use the Auskick posts, otherwise it'll be even emptier on most the grass than in the stands.
