The bulk? If it was the bulk, I'd have thought there would've been more than 29k there.

Well done to the Legs, best team on the day and season. West's game plan is awful to watch and puts the players under immense pressure in their back half - today that resulted in shoddy handballs and West handing the ball over often - particularly if the opposition are fired up as they were today.
I felt sorry for the Westies supporters, as they were there watching awful footy and swamped by the mass of Redlegs supporters that knew they had the premiership in the bag. Watching them come in, it seemed 5:1 in favour of the Legs.
Norwood were fantastic today - Terlich, in the small amount I saw on tv, set them apart. Cacchia played well, his indiscretion at the end might've caused his undoing.
Jericho was important as well, seemed West had no answer to him as the delivery he was getting was phenomenal.
Bassett coached them well and should do well at a higher level.

And...Gags and Aish get to continue family dynasties that I hope some of our Doggies players can produce into the future.

Rolling Stones cover band was sh*t. No satisfaction for me there.

Yeah maybe not bulk. Lots .... or some perhaps ;)
Agree with everything you've said there about the game/day.

It was explained on the TV that he went looking for his kids who were in the outer but in the end sent his brother to find them and bring them onto the ground. Strange though that the Senior Coaches family were not in the members area though?

I was at the southern end - he did come looking for me but I was drunk in one of the boxes so he asked for his kids instead.
It was a bit unusual at this level of football, but he's not your usual cat

Band was sh*te. I watched them on the ABC coverage and they were awful and not just because they were a cover band. No energy. Singer looked like he was scared to give us the full Jagger experience, lest he pull a muscle.

Great turn out though.

Yeah the 7th biggest crowd since 2000, really "shows" that.

We all know West have a small supporter base. I was expecting a much smaller crowd.
So if it were West v Centrals how many more people would have rocked up.

iirc in 03 Centrals and west got around 35k in overcast conditions. Obviously u can argue either way.

I would think the sanfl will consider 29k middle of the road, ok but not brilliant

I saw on this site somewhere the 03 CD v West GF got 28k
But I reckon CD's crowd may have dropped a bit over the last 5 or 6 seasons & non CD punters are just bored with seeing CD dominate. thats all i'm sayin.
I thought there'd be only be about 15k there today.

Congrats to Norwood. A job well done!

An absolutely dominant display all season including both finals against West. Like him or not, Bassett has done a great job. During his time he hasn't been dealt a good hand with injuries and has had more than his share of top line players taken in the AFL draft, yet Norwood have managed to still stay at the top and this year convincingly win a Premiership.

Also well done to West. They managed to beat Central and then knock over a rampaging North Adelaide. They obviously have the defensive aspect of their game in place and if Collins can tweak it enough to become more potent they can go the next step. Referring back to the Eagles of 2006, Fuller brought in some good assistant coaches and it made the difference. Perhaps Collins can be looking to do the same to add a point of difference to his game plan?

The game was frustrating to watch, but not all Grand Finals end up great games. Enjoy Norwood supporters (JK in particular)! Well deserved!

Good day, 1st quarter was pretty good and West had a heap of chances, they lack a genuine small forward as there were plenty of crumbs inside 50 that Norwood just swept up. West had plenty of system when the ball was in defence but going forward it was just a bomb to the talls, no systems or leads.

Norwood too classy, well done to them and there members.

Great turnout, 29k where probably 5k were West fans was fantastic, esp coming off 24k last year, if we can nail it with 2 well supported teams we could see a 40k+ crowd.

Lets hope Collo aint around next year.

Not Collins fault when coming out of defence you have two options, one 15 metres away and another 40 metres away so you kick straight to the opposition. Our disposal was terrible.

What is Collo listening to on his Ipod headphones while the game is going every week?

I'm sure that's not a serious question but if it is he is talking to his assistant coaches up in the coaches box

Didn't mind the band but could have done without listening to it when the Norwood players were making their trip around the ground, at least bothering to play the Norwood song might have been appropriate!

Could those disposals be a result of the pressure the game plan produces? It gets pretty congested, then all of a sudden, you're free and you think you have less time than you actually do? I couldn't believe the number of five metre handballs I saw missed in the second term.
