I don't think so. More like 15000 regulars. Still seriously outnumbered the Eagles (and neutrals) tho.
I thought it was about 50/50 support, I was surprised by the Eagles support around me.
Were you in the members?

Thunderstruck wrote:Well done to the Eagles, deserved to win after being clearly more hungry for 3/4 of the game. Dogs finally switched on in the last but it was far too late. Nearly died when Spurr kicked that point cos I thought was a goal for a second.
Doggies were dreadful though, fumbling all day long, bad umpiring in the first half as well. Evened up in the end I thought though. Eagles ran harder, worked to space better and mostly outnumbered the dogs at the contest.
I don't understand why Paul Thomas did not speak on behalf of the losing side? Normally that is a formality.

As for the match, Eagles got the jump on us and it was catch up for the rest of the match. I was worried for good reason going into the finals as I felt the Eagles matched up better against us than Norwood.
As for the Dogs, we'll lick our wounds and come back bigger and better next year. The reign as premiers is over but the dynasty isn't over yet!
Well said AK. I was wetting my pants in the last quarter and if my boys had coughed it up after leading all day I would have been gutted beyong belief. But I would have been happy to admit that the Dogs are the best team and proved it by coming from behind

Did you not see the entire mass of Dogs fans behind the goals?
I thought it was probably 65/35 in favour of the Dogs fans but the Ealges did have some good crowd support, thanks in part to the fantastic work of PhilH.

At the end of the day neither side draw big crowds so I think the attendence was passable.

Centrals consistently draw good crowds and certainly give a great atmosphere at the big games.
