I don't think so. More like 15000 regulars. Still seriously outnumbered the Eagles (and neutrals) tho.

I thought it was about 50/50 support, I was surprised by the Eagles support around me.

Were you in the members?

I was, and it was very one-sided in favour of the Eagles.

Thunderstruck wrote:Well done to the Eagles, deserved to win after being clearly more hungry for 3/4 of the game. Dogs finally switched on in the last but it was far too late. Nearly died when Spurr kicked that point cos I thought was a goal for a second.

Doggies were dreadful though, fumbling all day long, bad umpiring in the first half as well. Evened up in the end I thought though. Eagles ran harder, worked to space better and mostly outnumbered the dogs at the contest.

I don't understand why Paul Thomas did not speak on behalf of the losing side? Normally that is a formality.

From a neutral pov, the umps were great until the last qtr when they started giving some easy ones to the dogs. Several others agreed with me. Serisouly some weird ones given the dogs way late.

So the Centrals-Eagles-Sturt Tri-nasty continues. That's 12 in a row.

One more to tie the Port-Norwood-South dominance of 1887 to 1899 (13 in a row).

Nope, wasn't there, didn't take up any of the free tickets offered as I had to shampoo the hubcaps today ... but 25K is pathetic for a grand final in anyone's language.

Again, well done to the Eagles, thoroughly deserved their win ... very pleased for Godds.

Did you not see the entire mass of Dogs fans behind the goals?

I thought it was probably 65/35 in favour of the Dogs fans but the Ealges did have some good crowd support, thanks in part to the fantastic work of PhilH.

Is mr irate still in the Footy Park outer with his numpty sign?

Hopefully whufc is there to keep him company. They can swap Phillips jokes as a reminder of the good times.

Get it stuck right up you.

Bad luck to the sane, smart Dogs fans, your team has awesome resilience I could only wish for my team to share.

Well played to the Eagles, they, despite toweling us three times out of four, never impressed me but finish as deserved premiers and as proof I know very little about Footy.

Roll on 2012.

WELL DONE EAGLES.

Congrats to the Woodville West Torrens FC on being 2011 SANFL Premiers.

What a thrilling finish to a Grand Final, but the Eagles hanging on as deserved winners, played much better footy than the Dogs.

Really happy for those Eagles people I have really got to know well over the last few years, congratulations guys, enjoy it.

To my good Eagles supoorting mate PhilH - well done mate, the best team certainly won on the day.

I look forward to becomming a financial member of the WWTFC in season 2012.

Well done to the Dogs for showing that 'never say die attitude' but 1 and a bit quarters of okay footy doesn't win the flag.

Oh, and a very pleasant surprise for me today - I got to meet the famous Dog_ger !!!

As for the match, Eagles got the jump on us and it was catch up for the rest of the match. I was worried for good reason going into the finals as I felt the Eagles matched up better against us than Norwood.

As for the Dogs, we'll lick our wounds and come back bigger and better next year. The reign as premiers is over but the dynasty isn't over yet!

Well said AK. I was wetting my pants in the last quarter and if my boys had coughed it up after leading all day I would have been gutted beyong belief. But I would have been happy to admit that the Dogs are the best team and proved it by coming from behind

Most Eagles supporters I spoke to after the match were in the same boat. Several I spoke to felt relief rather than jubilation at the siren as they thought that another minute at most and the Dogs would of pinched it.

I was on the outer side and was clearly in favour of the Eagles

At the end of the day neither side draw big crowds so I think the attendence was passable.

Maybe in that pocket where you were taking those photos, but I think you are a tad off with the 50/50 crowd call.

Central had more fans overall than Eagles but it doesn't matter now, the gold, green and blue fans had the last laugh.
