Disappointing to end that way but the writing was on the wall after last week. Thank goodness we dont get to embarassed next week as im sure we would have if we had scraped in. Lot of recruiting required next year. We were a far inferior side to last year and im amazed we got so far, it says a bit about how much the comp has to catch up to Centrals. Could be a bleak few years coming up at Norwood, reckon we will lose a few more through retirement and injury

Who do you think you will lose?

Gallagher, Doyle, Bown through retirement
Campbell, Hughes and Young will miss most of next year
Maybe Shenton, Gazzola, Pfeiffer, Dawe, Langford in draft.

I reckon Brown might get picked up in the draft too.

What do you want to hear? Give me a period of mourning at least!

How can you go From such a high at the MCG to such a feeling of despair in just 24 hours?

I offer no excuses at all, poor selections and no changes made when surprisingly we still had a chance to win at half-time. Just not good enough.
The soup-kitchens would of been over-run at lizzbeff last night because Norwood's lame effort just handed them another flag. Stale bread and 2 minute noodles all round!
The Wiggles fans (all 600) would of had a group screening of Deliverance trying to spot their relatives. Why does society have to share it's oxygen with you?

Still damn lucky and proud to be associated with the Greatest Club in the SANFL, it's all right for the rest of you to be jealous because no matter what your piddly little clubs achieve you will NEVER be as good as us.

I'll be back next year when we re-claim our rightful mantle as the elite, and the rest of you can stuffed!

Hoping next week's GF results in 42 knee reconstructions.

LOL once again Norwood supporters thinking their club is so great. Mate your clubs record is piddly piss compared to the Port Magpies and you will never have a golden era like the current run the Dogs are on.

Surely every supporter feels their club is the greatest? And Port Magpies have only won 2 Premierships, great record.

At least Norwood is still a club unlike the poor Port Magpies.

Bassett was grimly realisitic last night at the club and said we'd finished where we deserved to having failed against the best two teams more often than not.

Having said that I think he extracted the maximum possible from an obviously weaker team than last year, losing the players we did and making the finals surprised even a lot of Norwood supporters.

I bet nobody had the guts to ask how is his AFL contrived ( 5 years ago ) style ever going to beat the best sides ; Neil Craig proved it isnt right and how Norwoods members put up with 20 games a year of it has got me stuffed !

Next week, 22000 crowd.

21999 Centrals supporters and Grocke's mum.

In all fairness, I think Central should have a year off in 2012 as long service leave, and let the others have a go.
