He had his eye on the ball

sorry, this time He didn't & will get at least 1 game :(

FWIW, watching frame by frame, I reckon his eyes were on the ball until about 3/8ths of a second before the contact.

What a fantastic effort from the dogs! 12 straight Grand Finals is an amazing record and one we may not see again (in our time anyway). Loved the hard solidness of the defence before finishing off the job for a good win. Callinan is an absolute super star with his amazing goal.

Unfortunate for Norwood copping two serious injuries never good to see at anytime and I think that certainly took it's toll by the last quarter.

Pumpa's report looked ridiculous and hopefully is thrown out. Didn't get a good look at Hayes' report but hope he gets off too.

As good as the Eagles were yesterday I can see Norwood fighting back next week and I think we will have our re match in two weeks time.

Loved the noise and passion from Central fans again!

Only the third game of the year I've been to and I didn't see anything I didn't already know. Callinan is a class above, Thomas is genuine quality regardless of what role he plays (and to the Norwood supporter in the Members during the last quarter claiming Thomas was the worst captain in SANFL history, you just made yourself look like a tool), and that Central will once again do it easy.

Hayes' report was a little jab to the guts of Pfeiffer during the second quarter. Pfeiffer went down, hoping I think a field umpire saw it, once no free kick was paid he was up and moving again. Could've been a free kick but no report in it.

Eagleton's little shot on the members wing to Schiller's head in a pack was also there, should've been a free kick but Goodrem was the only one that saw it, and obviously did something about it. The free kick went Norwood's way, a case of the retaliator being punished.

I couldn't believe when I heard Gallagher had 28 disposals after the game, didn't notice him at all. Thought Suckling, Georgiou, McGuinness (even though a couple of his turnovers were terrible) and Pfeiffer were Norwood's best.

Good to see smac make a new mate as well.... ;)

Number 11 for Norwood was their best. Pumpa will get a game for a push in the back, He went too far, shouldn't get a game but will & Hayes will also get a game, a soft punch but not necessary.

Interesting, a few Norwood supporters are calling for one of their players to "take out" Callinan! Is THAT how you win games?

Centrals were too good yesterday but Norwood's set-up plays right into their hands. Setting up from the backlines leaving one position down up forward allows Centrals to setup how they llike too and back their skills in, which yesterday, were better than Norwood's. I'd expect Davis and Terlich to come in next week. To me, it looks like one way to beat Centrals would be to play solely man on man football rather than structured; even this could prove hard.

Sutherland looked straight at the the Norwood player (McGuinness?) and jumped into his back - in the past there would have been no problem but today is a different game - I'm guessing he'll get one game or enough points that can be reduced with a plea so he'll be available.

One question which people may be able to help with - when Young was tackled by Sutherland was the free for holding the ball or deliberate out of bounds? I missed it on the tv due to looking away during the replay as I didn't like the way Young's ankle went six ways...

And did Gowans slap Campbell's knee on the way up? One commetator was not happy and one suggested it was a conciliatory gesture?

Was paid for deliberate, not sure who it was that tapped the ball over the line but he didn't disguise it very well.

Great fella, wasn't he? Spent some time in the cooler at the end of the match apparently.

Dogs choked the crap out of the game until Norwood had been talked out of wanting it anymore. Another regulation finals win. I love my club.

As Gowan's went past he punched Campbell's knee while he was writhing in agony. Turned out to be Campbell's good knee.

It was a tap akin to a rub on the head in a "hope you're alright" gesture and to infer otherwise is poor form.

No doubt it was a free, however there were a number of others very similar if not worse that were not paid for both teams. That's the problem with the deliberate rule, it just seems like every now and then they feel the urge to pay it.
