yep he's got nuthin. seriously can anyone tell me what his motivation is for denigrating our comp? Is it the PA supporter talking or an impartial journalist trying to tell us that the sanfl is buggered.

I'd love to see him try because he has been saying that the SANFL clubs are financially draining the AFL clubs.

Les Steven's comments
Let me assure you that the difficulties of Port Power was in no way linked to the local SANFL clubs draining extra funds for their own use.
could be referring to idiots who post on public forums making these claims, just as much as it could be a "senior reporter".

It's a known fact that Rucci reads football forums, not only to see his own name but to get article ideas.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

However that you can be added to the group without your consent, which is a bit weird considering who is running it :?

Pity it doesn't have an 'Invite' or 'Recommend' friends button...I'd be happy to use that so they can decide for themselves but there's no way I'd 'Add' people without their consent.

Thank you all... I KNOW that!!!
The use of the State bank is in relation to the BLOW OUT IN COST - & the debt, I think same for Adelaide Oval - wait for the 'levy'!
Abstract, I know but you must admit, pretty funny!

Did you like the endline?

I only watched it until about half way through and no sound. Abstract indeed.

Wonder what his views on climate change are, I'm about as interested in that.

Ok compare Port with the Crows, who are also struggling, but do we hear the same? Nup...

Imagine the uproar if some Victorian clubs got $9m over the last 3 years....

Weren't we 'hearing the same' from Nth Melbourne in recent years when they were also getting ripped off by their stadium deal Dutchy?

p.s. I think you would be definitely hearing the same from the Crows if

a) they werent 100% SANFL elected board members and

b) Port weren't already pushing the barrow (because they are in more dire need of a change).

With their supposed better stadium deals, reserve teams and better corporate structure - Western Bulldogs is $3million in debt, wasn't Richmond and Melbourne in excess of $5mill in debt?
North Melbourne are playing two games in Hobart now for a mill. Richmond in Darwin, games in Brisbane etc etc.

I think there's an opportunity for readers of this site to put forward a positive opinion on the SANFL, under Rucci's
latest dribble

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl ... 6072332782

Again he selectively pulled certain quotes from Les's letter.

If people were to post a comment in the comments section, to put forward a positive view on the SANFL, i think it would be a good start. Obviously, you may be censored out. A small effort.

P.S I notice none of my comments re the reserves (Tredreas article) have been put up.

Rucci quoted Les Stevens wrote:"Our competition ... is more entertaining than some of the AFL games, crowds are improving and football is played in the manner that is supposed to be," he wrote.
Sounds closer to the truth than what Rucci has written lately.

Rucci wrote:Neither the Crows nor Power - both annoyed at the trashing of their product - could respond on Thursday, highlighting their wish of independence.
How can he know they are annoyed if they could not respond?

So we can "trash" Footy Park, but we can't "trash" the Crows or Power and what they serve up????

OK, I can't see any hypocrisy here
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

More than rumours I think cennals. Bizarre, I thought bonuses were usually performance-based.

Well done Les ,as a member of CDFC i totally concur with your comments its about time all CEO'S of the other eight SANFLclubs step up to the plate and give it to the media in this state, SANFL = REAL FOOTBALL the other code AFL is now a soft form of football due to the yearly tampering and rule changes which are made to accommodate the TV moguls who pass this insipid type of football to the TV masses, the AFL is just a voracious money making beast which has destroyed the VFL WAFL and nearly destroyed the SANFL however quite a lot of footy followers are finally coming to their senses and are returning to this great game yes
SANFL FOOTBALL the best in the land.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.
