If you are going to play football on Good Friday, keep it to the evening. The sacred time is actually 3:00pm when the death of Jesus is commemorated.
However, as stated earlier, the reason for not having a match on this day may be more to do with cost than religious observance.

Actually, the death was not ALLEGED. Even in secular writings, the death of Jesus is recorded many times. What is alleged is not his actual death but whether he was the Messiah or just a naughty boy!
