not enough room at footy park for any more central bandwagons and if glenelg make the grand final they will be parked all the way back to port road

We know the Eagles and possibly Norwood can beat them. Come on you clubs! They're past it!

No, it would have been good to meet them in finals and wipe the minor round smirk off. Eagles, are as "dangerous" as Sturt. You over rate the importance of some minor round games (also happened in 2002). "Your bitches" aren't having a mad Monday today. Enjoy 5th.

Once again - the rules are applied differently to different sets of supporters.

I posted a TONGUE IN CHEEK (imploding) THREAD & what happens, it gets removed

I've lost count of the amount of 'IMPLODING THREADS' that have been on this site over the years.

I add a HUMOROUS addition v Sturt & yes, you guessed it, it gets removed

What has happend to this once great fun site?

All I remember from last week is some Eagles supporters grasping at one quote, made by one Sturt fan, and deciding that this is the view of the entire club and complained numerous times that they were sick of hearing about it. Any abuse you endured was basically a result of this little fantasy you had decided to project on us.
You couldn't possibly complain about that could you?
P.S. The amount of times you include a "roll eyes" at the end of your post, I am surprised the damn things are still in your head and not lost under some couch somewhere.

Ummm, you started an imploding thread about a side that just got knocked out of the finals race?
I am not a moderator but common sense tells me that imploding threads at the beginning or during the year are fair game. The day after your side has knocked the "imploded" team out of contention though is a little like giving a batsman a send off.
P.S. Didn't see the thread, and have no idea of the content, but I am sure it contained the words "Big Blue Bus" is tere somewhere.

No, actually it didn't...

The title was "Have Sturt Imploded?"

Then wrote "C'mon guys, you must've expected it?"

Humour?

LEH how about you just snuggle up in your smugness and enjoy your great victory. I'll agree with everthing Theri said above about the R23 review. Maybe you need to look at what your were accusing Sturt supporters of after R23 and look at how you're carrying on. Really, have a think about it because you really present as being very closed minded and lacking perspective.
I've already said it on here but will say it again. Congratulations to your club and the players in a great victory. Try and enjoy it mate without looking like a tool. ;)

Some quotes from last week...

I have to say... I'm confident we'll roll both Torrens and Norwood in successive weeks.
You just make sure your lot send Central down to us... we'll take care of everything
confident the blues can continue their winning ways.
No-one on here has been anything but confident. Nothing wrong with that surely!
Will be a beauty but Sturt by 3 goals.
bring on next week. FINALS!!!
The Blues were pumped, on song and looking good, they've beaten Norwood, Centrals and Torrens leading into the finals, can't get better form than that really. It's all to play for though, a good effort from Torrens next week and no one will care about this game, Sturt still have it all before them, but definitely could be a sleeping giant...

it's fun watching someone with nothing better to do than deflect from the game by talking about the people on the outer
We've finally found some great form and we've beaten everyone we've had to in the last month in order to get where we are now, so we've got every right to be confident going into Sunday's game
I have to say... I'm confident we'll roll both Torrens and Norwood in successive weeks.

The team is really pumped at the moment, 6 wins in 7 weeks and against a lot of the top sides... they're confidence is high and they've been doing it with little contribution from Chambo due to conditions... if we get a warm, dry day next week... it could be on!
but I'm not going to back away from what I believe to be the case, Sturt will win because they're the better team.

Damn right I'll snuggle my smugness

Surely playing a final is enough motivation for your boys. Maybe you'll have to get some Glenelg supporters to say something nasty about them so you can get up this week also ;)

Surely you're not saying that it had an impact on the result of the match. Eagles were first to the ball for the most part and we know when your first to the ball you will win the lions share of the frees. Simply put you were outclassed by a well drilled Eagles outfit. A 5th placed finishing position is probably an accurate indicator to your season as a whole. Very up and down all season long.
