When was this supposed to happen? I can't recall any reportable incidents. Do you have details who he is supposed to have struck, and in what quarter?

Apparently it was for striking Simon Phillips. I can't remember the incident either. I don't think McIntyre would have had the pace to get anywhere Phillips. Come to think of it I don't think anyone in North would have the pace to get anwhere near Phillips. Phillips is a very impressive player with his pace and finishing skills, two things lacking from North at the moment.

I have a vague memory courtesy of the TV broadcast that Phillips got a glancing elbow to the right jaw area in either the first or last quarter as the ball was chased out of bounds, but cant remember who the player was. That's my only suggestion.

One umpire, micky?

Hat to go against the conspiracy theory, but weren't most of the reports by video review.

From memory all 3 reports against Grocke occurred during the game. I honestly can't remember who was the reporting umpire on each occasion but by the powers of elimination it hasn't been the same reporting umpire each time...

Round 7 v North (Umpires: Rowston, Dey, Haussen)
Round 17 v South (Umpires: Williams, Bowen, Oates)

No worries, micky.

As for Rucci, he obviously didn't see at least some of the reports in question.

I watched 3 of them numerous times and the verdicts were pretty spot on. The tribunal is made up mostly of people who know a lot more about playing football than Michelangelo. This by itself doesn't make them any wiser, but armed with all the evidence, it certainly does.

However, Michelangelo obviously thinks that players who have done nothing wrong should get games regardless.

Why aren't we surprised?

I've heard the original charge was for a blow around the neck.

Then someone pointed out it was Gallagher, so the charge was promptly withdrawn...
