Just returning what Norwood supporters gave us that day and afterwards! A lot of Norwood supporters think that they're Port Adelaide pre-2000 when really they're South Adelaide post-1964...

I like to dedicate this next clip to the Norwood Football Club and it's supporters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgWMvVPKW4E

Further proof that they can dish it out but can't take it.

It was just two points to us last week, obviously it was much more imprtant to you though.

[quote="NFC"]Scorboard completely flatters Norwood, we were well off the pace today, Sturt just too hungry, had numbers in defence and won all the stoppages until the last quarter.

Now, the umpiring. Absolutely WOEFUL.

Not for one minute am I saying umps were the reason we lost, not at all. Sturt far too good. However the umps were a disgrace, the umpiring standard gets worse every single week. HOW MANY FREAKING 25 METRE PENALTIES DO THEY PAY? Ruins the game.

Spot on NFC....the umpires were just incompetent and detracted from what should have been a fantastic game....it's a shame that at a time when the local comp is experiencing a genuine resurgence amongst the public that SA footy is being set back by umpires that have no feel for the game and seem intent on copying their AFL counterparts by paying rediculous free kicks and 25 metre penalties. The umpires were totally rattled on Sunday and should get back to letting the game flow.....

Have to say it but I don't mind going to Unley (long way from Qld though). The first game I ever went to was at Unley between Port and Sturt and there was 18 thousand there (or something very close to it, it was in 1982)! The last time I went it was between Sturt and Eagles and it really was a kid friendly place, unlike the Parade.

Not trying to suggest otherwise bowsey but when you have to cop it from a Glenelg fan...

When you put it like that nobody except for Port and Centrals have done bugger all for years, our stats stack up pretty well compared to most.

Nope, not here. As I said earlier, Sturt should have won by a lot more. They're a good side when they get their game rollng. Best team we've played this year, with the possible exception of Glenelg in round 1.

That's funny you should say that AH as Luke Norman believes Norwood are the best side Sturt have faced this year.....

Sturt v Norwood on the first Sunday in October perhaps?

I think Norwood's best 21 and performance is enough to give themselves a chance of winning against anyone, the difficult bit is that it's a skinny list and there's not a lot of league quality backup at the moment ... Bass and co. have done a fine job of fast tracking that, but we are and will remain highly vulnerable in that area so would need a fair dose of luck on the injury front to maintain some of the higher standard we've delivered recently.

Realistically we're also a key forward and one pacy midfielder away from challenging meaningfully for a double chance IMHO.

Am still disappointed that Cleve Hughes and Darren Pfieffer didnt come back to Norwood this year. Exactly the 2 players we need.

Agreed, hopefully 2011? I hear Cleve is doing ok, not sure about Pfeiff.

Not being busted for cheating and having the ability to recruit this year would of also helped at a guess.

We weren't "busted", we dobbed ourselves in. You don't think the SANFL would have found out if we hadn't do you?

For the apparently slow of learning we did recruit players this year.

No excuses, not bad umpiring, not Strut playing better, just Norwood playing extremely poorly!

And what a poor excuse for a League venue! At least we didn't step in any doggie doo-doo or get stuck by discarded needles! Please move back to Adelaide Oval.

still talking Grand Finals mate, probably more of pressing issue is making the finals.
