Not really sure anyone is whinging about the umpires. Certainly had no affect on the result. As for the sniper comments, you are right. North supporters should be heaping praise on Grocke.

Why is that after a loss to the Eagles all we hear from North supporters is whinging and whining about one thing or the other. Why can't you just accept that you have been beaten by a better team on the day. Why is it always the umpires this or that or that sniping Eagles player. Why can't you just accept the Eagles are better than you.

Eagles are awesome, a powerhouse, they should win the next 10 flags.

Poor kicking by North kept them out the game all day and when you have a defensive game plan, poor skills and don't man up then you have no hope.

Eagles to good and clinical when it counted. North playing with no confidence. Doesn't help when we are two players down before half time from gutless acts. Salter seriousoly has some anger issues but only picks on smaller blokes or hits them behind their backs or late. He is a coward.

As for the reports - watched it live and then went to the replay and Salter is in strife for his late bump on Thring which ended his game and he was reported according to Soders (see above), then whilst Thring is lying on the ground Grocke goes over and says something to which Macca reacts to support his team mate with a bit push and shove with Grocke who then cowardly punched Macca when he wasn't looking and he is off to hospital and Grocke reported. But to add salt into the wound - there was no free paid to North after two reports???

As for the Whyman incident late - let's hope it doesn't get to the Tribunal as the Eagles player may have some questions to answer as to using certain words so I have been told however Whyman is happy to leave it at that on the ground. Whyman reacted to that and all he did was forcefully grab the Eagles player at the bottom of his neck and wrestle him - no punch thrown so the Eagles supporters are a bit rich getting all worked up about that yet are happy to pay out Macca after being cowardly punched by Grocke!

As for that great bump by the North player on Lewis (I though it was Platten?) how could the umpire give a free for too high just goes to show how bad they are these days

I think we all saw the Whyman incident and it had nothing to do with what was or was not allegedly said to him. And the way you described the McIntyre incident is excactly how it did not happen. Apart from that - spot on!

Yes Wedgie I did start up a thread based on the reports laid in this match. I don't have a problem with anyone commenting about this either. What I do have a problem with is when someone is labelled a sniper when it's clearly not true ! Too many times when the Eagles have beaten North i've sifted through loads of posts which are a load of bs. I tend to believe it's supporters of the cocks that have the inferiority complex not the Eagles supporters.

ELH, everytime i have seen groke play against north he is very fired up. fair enough its his old club and of course he would want to do well against north. but i have seen this guy more than once hit north players behind the play. i can only go on what i see of the guy when north are playing and IMO he is a wanna be tough guy on the field . if its different whilst not playing against north, so be it but i can only go on what i see.

You weren't even at the game so how can you comment with any authority? For what it's worth Grocke got three weeks. I don't think he's a sniper but to get 3 weeks in the SANFL you have to have done something pretty ordinary.

I was commenting because I thought the comments made against Grocke were unfair and an insult to his character. As an Eagles supporter I have seen Grocke on many occasions and I believe him to be a hard player but very fair. I think I have enough authority to comment if I see fit. I haven't seen the incident that much is correct but I would it would be fair to say the alleged incident was out of character for Adam. I still believe the naming of him as a sniper is more than unfair.
