Why wouldnt it be "common sense" for Centrals to wear their white jumper if the Eagles have earnt the right to wear their traditional jumper?
Sorry Dutchy, once again I'll be more specific and clarify that I meant the clubs would come to a "gentlemans agreement" that, as has been the case since the early 2000's like I mentioned before, Central would wear their normal jumper and the Eagles wear their yellow one.
If the Eagles wrere in a position that they earnt the right to wear their traditional jumper (and knowing the Dogs have canned the white jumper) once again, I'm sure the two clubs will use "common sense" and come to an agreement. I doubt that the Eagles will kick up a fuss and stand their ground demanding they wear their blue/traditional jumper because I'd doubt that they would have any issue wearing the yellow jumper, they have won a flag, against the Dogs, in it.
Whichever team that has the right to wear their home guernsey should be able to. I agree that common sense would prevail (eg. South playing away to Eagles or Norwood), but it shouldn't have to get to this. Well done Central for bringing in their clash guernsey instead of taking the Collingwood approach that "everyone else has a clash guernsey so we don't need one", and hopefully that continues.
During this decade I would suggest that even if Central did have a clash guernsey, the Eagles have probably never earned the right to wear their home guernsey in finals against Central due to ladder position/previous finals results, but it doesn't mean they should always have to wear their clash guernsey in these matches.
Maybe if the players don't like the white guernsey, Central could try a red design - it would at least give North a reason to wear their clash guernsey if both teams were playing away.
