I know Chambers got 4.3 from the live scores, did he kick the full 4.6?

I think it was Chambers 4.3
Evans kicked our first point & the other 2 points were rushed.

Well done on a great performance today North, very much like Sturts win last Monday. Sturt looked slow & that was the most undisciplined game I have seen us play. I have not seen the stats , but North got a pile of free kicks, most of them deserved by playing in front.
The Bays will be tough on Friday night, hopefully it will be a much closer game than todays.

You're obviously not part of the Sturt cheersquad then (who I had the misfortune of standing next to last Monday).

As for my avatar...it's a .58 calibre Minie bullet for a 1853 3 banded Enfield rifled musket...I shoot black powder muzzleloaders (both rifles and pistols) on a regular basis as a hobby...

fair enough Akka, every man needs a hobby, old guns huh! Must have a few powder burns? Not that I've got any clue on guns of any type. Hobbies, personally I'm a sucker for restoring timber boats.

31 -15 Norths way according to the ABC.
We seemed to get a good run but as you said North did play in front and hit the ball first all day but I certainly wasn't complaining!
Sturt were very undisciplined in the first half but steadied in the 2nd half, only real undisciplined act was by a young North player who gave Sturt a free shot at goal in the goalsquare from a reaction on the wing to a smack in the face.

I missed it....please expand on that comment.

Anything to do with Myles being stretchered off? (I missed what happened there too)

Yes it resulted in Myles sitting out the rest of the game.

So your alternative now is to get your North buddies to start on Chambo in the hope of increased traffic? ;)

BULLSH*T! I don't know if it was the sight of Sturt kicking easy goals against a side with less than 18 fit players on the park or that cheap goonbag that you Sturt cheersquaders drink by the gallon but there was more than a few predictions said by several members of the Sturt cheersquad (in particular the demented babbling ranga at the front (who didn't like it when I pointed out Sturts lack of finals success of late, particularly last years finals chokes against the Dogs and Glenelg)) that by beating Centrals, Sturt have basically got the flag all stitched up and the SANFL should just give them the cup right now (North and Glenelg fans will differ on that).

You can beat us in June all you want.

Making excuses already? Bays have EXACTLY the same preparation as Sturt

Huh? Surely if you can do that once you can do it again?

Or maybe you wont get a team coming off a 5 day break again this season, North played well but it was painfully obvious that Sturt were unusualy slow today

I didn't know you could have a leg on 3 sides of a fence. Bravo!

Well said lesthemechanic. It was one of the most undisciplined performances I have seen in a long time. Sturt had no interest in the footy today.

p.s. I'm glad Mal and bayman weren't there. They would of had kittens today.

ahh a player that is too slow and unaware of what is around him, out of all the footy i have played and that i now coach, i was always taught and i teach my players to make sure the arms are pinned, if not, it could be an easy hand off to a running player that could result in a goal. FFS we are not playing primary school footy here, perhaps a few Sturt players could take some lessons today instead of abusing each other

Been involved in Football coaching myself and never have instructed my players to "slam them head first" to the ground. Arms pinned - yes...."head to the ground 1st"...ahhhh...No!!! :?

Well the Cows must be teaching there players to tackle that way. It only seems to be there players upsetting some fans.

Cornes is right - there are football gods!
Where is Jimmy when you need him, always on so quick after a win, yet so far away. Just looking for some of that balanced diatribe we heard about last week.

I actually feel dirty and used, Central supporters revelling in our success. :?

PS If anyone wants to donate to SAFooty this week it will be greatly appreciated as with the drop in traffic from Sturt supporters we're in big trouble! ;)

PPS Worked out the top 5 on the roost for someone but if anyone else is interested:

1. Glenelg 16pts (8 wins 2 losses) 53.7%
2. Sturt 14pts (7 wins 3 losses) 58.5%
3. Central 14pts (7 wins 2 losses) 54.9%
4. North 12pts (6 wins 3 losses) 55.7%
5. Eagles 11pts (5 wins 4 losses 1 draw) 48.3%

BTW, we all have jobs and I like my Bourbon. Haven't seen that stuff in a goonbag lately. You want to talk about goonbags being drunk by the gallon, I grew up in Elizabeth mate, plenty of goon down there 8)
