It happened one game my Dad played in for Salisbury a LONG time ago against Eastern Park. The half time scoreline was so bad that EP didn't return in the second half. The umpires started the game and Salisbury kicked a few more goals in the second half. I think they called the game off when someone kicked a point.

What is your dad's name? I used to play for Salisbury & I loved playing Eastern Park. We would score 40 plus goals each time.....even I would get a kick!

This was in the A Grade, he played there from 68-71 when they won all 4 flags - I think a shade before even your days...

I played in the victorious 1972 U9's GF win! By one point! Coached by Denis Grigg, Mr. Thomas, Gary Carling, Terry Sloan, Barry Pilgrim....not all in 1 season, of course. A great club, unfortunately black & white

I reckon Salisbury are pricks for doing that. All about winning, bloody Magpies.
What they should've done was lend EP some of their players!
Five or so would've been fair. At least EP could've got a game still ;)

CENTRAL DISTRICTS GRAND FINAL LINE UP:

Full Forward: Luke McCabe, Daniel Schell, Ian Callinan
Half Forwards: Chad O’Sullivan, Matthew Westhoff, Chris Gowans
Centre Line: Brayden O’Hara, James Gowans, Elijah Ware
Half Backs: Andrew Hayes, Jeremy Aufderheide, Ryan Williams
Full Backs: Trent Goodrem, Yves Sibenaler, Richard Cochrane

Rucks: Jason Mackenzie, Paul Thomas, Matthew Slade.

Interchange (from): Scott Dutschke, Jonathon Giles, Louis Hadden, Heath Lawry, James Moss

So into the squad of 23 come Heath Lawry and Louis Hadden. I personally think they will go into the game unchanged but it could be possible that Heath Lawry comes in for James Moss ? I guess we will have to wait 'til Sunday now wont we.

GO U DOGGIES...

I knew you'd say that;)

But surely the on-field odds 13 to 5 would've been in the favour of Salisbury kicking even more goals....

Dutschke on the bench?
Don't be surprised to see him start - his aggression in those early stages could be very handy.

Totally agree DW...

We all know these sides released to the media are never how the sides actually line up.

Scott Dutschke has to start on the ball I reckon, maybe on Ty Allen, if his shoulder comes up and he plays...

I don't expect Centrals line up to change, meaning it looks like Lawry and Haddin are the unlucky ones this year.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

spot on SK. Latest forecast i just read is predicting showers. Lewis deserves a spot if it's wet, otherwise Sellar is the man.

SANFL GRAND FINAL: LET US ENTERTAIN YOU

This 2008 line-up for the SANFL ‘be active’ Grand Final promises to deliver a great day of entertainment for footy fans.

SAM KEKOVICH – star of the infamous Australia Day lamb ads – will be scouting around AAMI Stadium before the game to find the best barbecue feast. The winner, to be announced at half-time, will receive a $799 BBQ courtesy of Meat & Livestock Australia.

Tanunda-based musician DARREN McCRAE will take the stage at 2.48pm to perform Grand Final, his tribute to the biggest day on the South Australian football calendar.

The song, which takes its roots from Australia’s favourite bush ballad Waltzing Matilda, encapsulates the colour, excitement and anticipation of the SANFL Grand Final.

Then Adelaide’s operatic darling and Australia’s Got Talent finalist GRACE BAWDEN will perform the National Anthem prior to the first bounce at 3.10pm.

Grace has performed at many landmark events, including 2008 Youth Day celebrations in Sydney and Adelaide’s Carols by Candlelight.

Also before the big game, don’t miss the CHAMPIONS’ MOTORCADE, celebrating this year’s medallists and retirees.

The MAIL MEDALLIST MOTORCADE, acknowledging football medallists from across the state, will be held at half-time.

Then, of course, there’s the titan clash itself – GLENELG v CENTRAL DISTRICT in a fight to the finish for premiership glory.

SANFL – come and get it!
