Probably a fair call.
Sturt 10 to 1 but Port at 50s might be a bit tight.
Probably 100 to 1.

give us your whole market wedgie  i'd back port at 100/1 with you, but if you do accept a bet don't go hiding like sturt1 did

I agree there is no way Sturt should be fav or equal fav for the flag. We should go well , but who knows. As for TB comment , mate it takes a bit more for Sturt fans " to get up in arms " on comparison to you guys , I have heard it all now . Keep hanging on to that Elim win won't ya !! LOL .

$3.70 equates to 2.7/1. Seems okay to me :D

Cheers Dogs 01, I think their market looks a little more realistic than Thornton's.
I guess Centrals have been good for the best part of a decade and have defied pre-season skeptics more often than they haven't. They deserve the favourites tag if anyone does.
Sturt had a better than expected season last year, and they have recruited pretty well. But I reckon too much of an unknown quantity seeing that MacGowan is just in his second year, equal favourites is a bit optimistic.
Glenelg look good value, their improvement has been steady and they have a good coach at the helm. I reckon they deserve equal second ranking with North, who look poised to take the next step and actually win the whole shibang this year.
I can't really offer an opinion about odds for the rest of the field, my judgment on where the others finish is just gut feeling. Not real appropriate for the science of the betting market. But I reckon the top 4 will be (in no particular order) Central, Sturt, North and Glenelg.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Central District 3.20
North Adelaide 3.20
Sturt 6.00
Glenelg 6.00
Eagles 10.00
Norwood 14.00
Port Adelaide Magpies 17.00
West Adelaide 17.00
South Adelaide 26.00

Is what i reckon the flag prices should be, Norths have recruited well and you forget that White & Wintle & Walker are like three new recruits also, and the Doggies are getting a little older and how many times can u keep winning flags

So Bayman is it fair to say that extra 20 cents in the price is enough to win your bet

I think I'd have South above West. South could be a surprise packet or struggle to win a single game...

Other than that, I'd say it's a fair indication...
