Rnd 4 - West v North @ City Mazda Stadium (Fri N 19/4)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 15, 2013 1:24 am

The Bloods are probably the form team of the comp right now, while the Roosters have kicked their year off with a couple of good wins...

This one is game of the round for me and one I'm really looking forward to catching...

The comp seems a three team race ATM and this game will give an indication of where North are at. With such a turnover of players and loss of experience over the off season I have a feeling that North might still be a step or two away from West and Norwood but have plenty of time to get it together this season.
A lot will also depend on if Lewis Johnston is called up to the Crows.
I'm picking West by about 5 goals in a reality check for North. Possibly bigger if Lewie doesn't play.
This game deserves a big crowd with West playing such a different style this year.

Genuine shoot out with both teams scoring over 100 points in each of their wins this year. West always have trouble with North, looking forward to the game. Hopefully a big crowd.

I think most clubs struggle to a degree without their AFL contigent especially the KPP. It woldn't worry me in the least if Johnno went up except that our key recruit / CHF Daniel Archer is still sidelined for a couple of weeks so an even swap with Johnston would have been good but they might clear a path for Johnny Boras. Daniel Stewart will stay with us for sure.

Westies will probably lose Gray and may lose Cassisi.

We will welcome Travis Tuck for sure into the 1's

Should be a tight contest but if they Roosters let the bloods open it up like they do I see West Adelaide winning by 24 points. In a tight game 12 points

I'm with Strawb, if its a tight game it will be tight but if its not tight it won't be tight.

I agree. The margin will be inversely proportional to the tightness of the game. ;)

Rory Laird has been promoted from the Rookie list and could be an inclusion in the Crows 22 this week

A polished player who fully deserves his chance. Good luck Rory

Cassisi with experience and strength around the footy? With Gray, West should be able to cover but 2 midfielders and 1 of known AFL quality should test the midfield depth.

Lairds pace in the back half will be hard to replace. Travis Tuck will come in for Cassisi and Gray I think will play for West, he doesnt look quite up to AFL standard yet.
I guess Shannon Green will come in for Laird

That's a very good roosters side - I guess Archer and Gallman from full strength?
