Shouldn't this be in the AFL Forum? ... a Crows reserves side doesn't necessarily have to be in the SANFL

When Chapman says it has to work for the SANFL too and he thinks it will help them generate extra revenue, I'd say that sounds pretty ominous

No. Phil Harper negotiating with Chris Davies at the SANFL.

So our pride and joy is in the hands of a former cricketer who was 12 when the old SANFL was cut down by the birth of the Crows ...

It makes me spew just thinking of Ian Callinan wearing a light blue guernsey playing against the Dogs.

Not sure its a Sturt take over. Sounds like a separate team to me.

Ironic its the strength of the SANFL comp that will be its ultimate downfall

to have a crack at playing at the highest level, when he left that didnt mean it would also mean he would play against us.

it would be interesting to know how the players would feel about that situation you would never get an honest answer though.

Sounds very much to me that the SANFL might be a 10 team competition again.

For AFL reserves sides to be allowed into our comp the majority of SANFL clubs would to agree, is that correct?

If the answer to that is "yes'" under what circumstances would a majority of clubs agree to this?

SANFL Reserves compitition is being considered as the resting place for both AFL reserves teams, sure it doesn't sound too good right now but let's not jump at shadows just yet.

SANFL Reserves is surely the best option given there is no perfect solution that suits everybody.

I'd accept that as a bastardised compromise if it means the end of Port Magpies.

Port Power and the Adelaide Crows play in the reserves competition and no points are awarded to teams when they play the AFL reserves teams ... effectively an 8 team competition with 10 teams.

The Port Magpies do not play SANFL league or U18 competitions and both revert to an 8 team competition.

Port Magpies cease to be an entity at the conclusion of the 2013 season.

perfect. The Crows & Power won't put their reserves sides in the VFL, too far away for them to control properly, let's face it, they are going in the SANFL. AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT.
