Two of a Kind - Biography of Chris & James Gowans

Postby Big Phil » Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:08 am

Well know SANFL free-lance journalists Robert Laidlaw and Steve Barrett have co-written the Biography of Chris and James Gowans...

The book is called 'Two of a Kind' and will be officially be released the night of April 13th when Central host Norwood at Elizabeth...

The Twins will be in attendance at the book launch to sign copies as well...

The club is taking pre-orders so get in early as to not miss out. They are $30.00 each which is great value for money...

A must have for all SANFL supporters, not just Central District ones...

Here is an extract that the local messenger did from the book...

http://digitaledition.nrmessenger.com.au/#folio=18

I must say, I have been lucky enough to have a sneak peek at the book and there is some fantastic stuff in there...

It will be a great read, guaranteed. Well done to Rob and Steve for their efforts as well...

Here is a link from Central's homepage about the book and options for pre-ordering your copy:

Would be a great read for a Dogs fan, not sure other clubs fans will be knocking each other over to purchase it.

I have seen a lot of the pictures going into the book and there are some great shots, particularly from when the Twins were just kids...

I love Leigh whickers interesting quote in chapter 3.

"James and Chris are the best thing to happen to our great league(SANFL) since Garry Mcintosh announced his retirement"

I'll wait to read the serialised version in the Northern Messenger, or to tailor it for the intended market. is the book made up mostly of pictures?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm sure it will be a great read. I've got absolutely zero interest in it, but I'm sure it's a great read nonetheless.
