do sturt fans think Kane, Panozzo and Duldig as recruits have worked for them?

Have the Gowans twins played much this year? They'd be just about done surely?

This season 1 gowans has played while the other has rested. Last week an exclusion. Today neither of them played. Will definately be their last season.

Has always been said they would be managed with a view to them playing 10-12 games each during the minor round. So far that's happened. I suspect a lot of the injuries they've been listed with aren't anything more than a slight niggle that they'd have carried up till this season.

As expected, we arrived, lost then left. The real question was how much?
Dogs would have been double angry after the Redlegs experience last week and the touch up they got at their last visit to Unley.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Real easy win apart from the first 15 minutes.

Luke Habel imho played his best game for the club, his first goal in which he ran at least 100 meters was a great effort.

Corey Reichart played really well today but imho his not the answer against the giants from Norwood or West come finals.

No surprise coming off a loss Lairdy went with Paul Thomas on Tim McIntyre and apart from the first minute when McIntrye goaled it worked a treat. The game was then done and Waldhutter did a good job on him. McIntrye did have a fair few shots on goal but they were mainly from around the 50m mark and on difficult angles.

Also did Chad O save his career today. Was apparently not playing until James G pulled out as the ressies started. Was then one of our best especially in the second half

Question after today is are both the Gowans in our ideal 21 come finals?!!!!

I've had a 'go' at a few of your posts in the past, but your last sentence says it all. This IS the dilemma. Roy knows it, you know it, everyone who wants to win the flag for the Mighty Bulldogs knows it.

Well done Boys, some weird umpiring decisions today...both ways. I even apologised to a couple of Sturt supporters in regard to 1 decision in particular which went Our way. Chad O'Sullivan played very well but The Rhino was Our best, IMHO. Can't believe I paid over $600 for Thommo's shit-stained autographed shorts! I suppose the money goes to a great cause...

LOL your not the only one!!!

We all know its the dilemma but like most supporters i dont know what the correct answer is.

Its going to be a very tough decision for Lairdy which is going to have to be made with alot of thought both from the heart and the head.

Personally i think we have to find room for Habel in the side, he breaks lines, kicks goals and adds alot of leg speed to what can be a slower side. From todays side i would say the likes of O'Sullian, Vater, Dutschke are the ones under the pump when both the Gowans are fit.

You forgot Menzel. :) as an "IN". Dutschke, Vater, and O'Sullivan, do not make my first team. We are not interested in finishing second.

Thanks Phil. It certainly did look like a very paltry crowd. We needed the Titanic on the outer to fill in all the vacant spaces! Hoping we can draw a decent crowd to our next home game.
I guess crappy weather combined with the match being televised were contributors to this low attendance.
I recorded the match though and must say I enjoyed watching the highlights of the 1982 Central v Sturt match from Unley. Classic footage. :D

I loved that footage as well. The red shorts were great, as were some of the hair styles !!!

Yes I remembers the footage, I think Sturt came back and just fell short.

I remember being amazed seeing a large crowd all around the ground, given its curent configuration.
