Can westies win the flag this year or is it bound to be a doggies v norwood grand final?

I haven't seen much of Westies this year but they seem to be much improved.

I hope so :)

Andy Collins has worked hard to get some depth at the club and I cannot remember the last time there were so many reserves players pushing for league selection, there are at least 8 - 10 that could come into the side and play good league footy. The team selectors would would have an extremely hard job each thursday night. The next couple of years could be very exciting for the club IMO.

Actually getting to the finals is the first point of call though

Interesting that West has only used 29 players this year, and 10 have played in all 13 matches.
If they can continue to keep fielding close to their best side, and maintain some form, they have the ability to cause some more upsets this year. If they cop a few telling injuries, they may start to slide.

Was it Westies supporters wanting Collins head or people from other clubs chipping in with their two cents worth

IMHO they are definitely in the mix .. They have a list as good as anyone, they're relatively free of injury concerns, and if they're starting to play with more offensive freedom/output, then I reckon they're in it up to their necks.
