Ressies 2011 GF, Bays d Legs

Postby Pseudo » Sun Oct 09, 2011 3:40 pm

Bays 9.7
Legs 5.14

YEEE-HAW!

Luke Panozzo you STAR!

A seriously bad game of football. Best summed up by the MONSFAW who yelled out "just score" about 15 minutes into the (then) almost scoreless third term - and was met with unanimous cheers from the Snouts' bay :lol:

All the same, very pleasing to see the lads grind out a win when the game was there to be won. After the Bays kicked clear in the fourth Norwood reeled them in and hit the front. The Bays showed good mettle to wear that, steady, and kick back away.

Thankyou ressies - you've added a significant chunk of happiness to an otherwise distressing season 8)

<broken record>
If Norwood had contested the Foxtel Cup, they'd have given their second-string players some significant experience on the big stage which might have helped them today. As for the Bays, their reserves premiership will stands them in good stead to contest the Foxtel Cup next year.
</broken record>

How do you figure that?
Your ressies and U18's have been good for years but the league side has been ordinary.
A good ressies side doesnt guarantee sucess at league level.
I would think in the Norwood side there wouldnt be more than 3 or 4 players who are good enough for league, dont know about your side

Well done you Bays Magoos!

Luckily you weren't overawed by the MONSFAW's...

Who won the U18's?

Not a great game of footy but happy to get the win. We beat 22 toady the little dark haired maggot who paid three holding the balls against us in ball up situations (hold the ball in). 'Legs did the same in the same situation nup give it to me. His last one of those at the 15 min mark of the alst qtr was the worst which the Legs took down to give themselves a 1 pt lead , kudos to the other two umpires let the game go and umpired properly.

plenty of good signs by our youngsters today who'll push for a league spot next year, Hinge, bennett, Carger, Edwards, proud, Cane and Earl. well done too to Gus lally and pannozzo (who kicked the winning goals) in the last qtr.

As others have said a good way to end a bad season.

<edit> just been reminded of the efforts of the Norwood players and some of their support staff two weeks ago at Alberton, fair to say he who laughs last, laughs loudest!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Had a quiet game IMO for his usual standards. Had a crack all day but nothing outstanding.

No they had a good turnout. Check Snouts out for what MONSPHOAR means.

You're sledging after a reserves win?

Says a lot about your club.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'
