Round 18 - West v North @ Richmond - 2:10pm Sat 30/7/11

Postby GWW » Sun Jul 24, 2011 10:45 pm

The Roosters had an impressive win against the league leaders in round 17 and this week they will be hoping to build on that when they take on a very disappointing West Adelaide side who's year started with such promise.

Despite the Bloods having the home ground advantage, I think North will start as favourites and I would expect them to win by about 5 goals.

In recent times, north used games against west as a way of getting a good win after a bad loss or two. Things have changed now, West by 4 goals.

Yeah. Didn't we lose to West after a good win against Glenelg.

Lost to West after a good win against WWT. From memory Westies had their best team on the park with some big ins Ferguson, Cassisi, Moran as I recall.

Westies had their "AFL" side that week, lost most of them the following week and it's been all down hill for them since, hopefully we don't run them back into form.

How many games has Daniel Stewart played with North this year. I have a feeling he is batting at 100%.

So many of our players have been carried this year without doing enough to deserve a regular spot. Our reserves and under 18s have been poor and have not put enough pressure on for spots. I fear that situation will be evident this week when Ferguson, the Fishers and Piasante are all underdone and those that should be stepping up are left to carry the can. Can't see it ending well for West and very concerned that we have not progressed much from last year in that regard.

North's knife sharpener, which we lent to Glenelg, was on the way to Unley, but if you Westies blokes need it first let us know.

Westies coach slamming them in the media to get them up, think the Roosters in a close one if Stewart plays ;)

North usually can only beat decent teams, we're terrible against the ordinary sides. Can beat Central and Eagles but can't beat Sturt, South or West.
West by a few.

nah ,hang on to it , you guys get more use out of it. Massie might dodge it though if he makes a decision between two clubs.

No idea who will win , probaby North if Gill can fire again.
