Sorry to say but Glenelg's Premeirship window has closed and Mickan will be gone by the end of the year. Lucky to make the 5 from here on out.

Centrals will win the flag in a canter. No one else close enough. They will now start to ramp up for the end of season assault for the flag.
Will get smashed by the Dogs at Elizabeth next week.

RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Great win for the legs. Very entertaining game. Was very impressed with reinbrecht in debut, looked and played alot like another nuggety fella who wore number 14 for Norwood. He tackled like a terrier and has a good left boot

And Norwood don't stand a chance to beat Centrals even though we beat them last week :?

Sounds like a bit of sour grapes Fourth Estate, very unlike Snouts Louts

gee if norwood booted straight in the last quarter it wouldve been a very ugly result, but for some reason I think we are a chance next week against the dogs and i have no idea why............

Enjoyed the game. Norwood too good in the end. I can't question Glenelg's endeavour and willingness to take the game on, however, our execution at times leaves a lot to be desired.

Great crowd, heard the ground announcer mention 6000+.

6552 according to the "season over Snout Louts " Unbelieveable , Glenelg have blooded a few younger ones this year which usually means a slight drop but some Glenelg fans have already said season gone.

The Les Stevens match of the round...

MOMENTUM
Both sides had it and lost it during the day
At times the skills were terrific
At times they were abyssMAL
But it was a highly entertaining game
NW got the 2 points on a hoodoo ground

DYLAN REINBRECHT
19 year old on debut
Kicked 2 sensational goals today
His skills were very good for a debut player

GL 6-3
NW 3-3
That was the score in the 2nd qtr
It was at a time when NW overpossesed in the forward line, and were blundering with monotomous regularity
They needed a spark
The spark was Darren PFEIFFER[looks like a big Phil Gallagher]
NW kicked 6 goals in about 10 minutes
Something Ive got used to seeing GL do to NW at this venue
GL 6-3
NW 9-3
That was the burst that won the day for NW
GL tried hard from then on but never could get the 2-3 goal break they needed

Port got within 4 goals at Elizabeth.
Why aint they a chance of beating Centrals if they both made the GF?

Can't agree Glenelg's season is over. They pushed us hard to today and at times looked to have the better of us. Plus they've got some handy players to come back into their team.

As to whether Norwood can beat Central in the finals, let's just wait and see shall we?

Sam Rowe's 2nd quarter was some of the best footy I've seen him play. A 6 goal burst in the second term, and a 3 goal burst late in the 3rd term was the difference between the two sides.

Well done to Bryce Campell, another typical gutsy brilliant effort for his 100th game, and young Reinbrecht had a very promising debut.

Pleased to win, at last, for the first time at the Bay since 2003.

was an entertaining game, both sides had their chances to win throughout the day, when glenelg got to open up the play in the third term with a 'shootout' we looked like running over the top at that stage, (overall the umpiring was pretty good) then we had a baffling decision of too high instead of htb at chf which resulted in a goal & then 2 more in 2 minutes & again the bays rallied late in the term, then came bassett's masterstroke at 'lemon time' of bottling up the game making it a contest which forced the mistakes & gave norwood the ball & they continually peppard the goals.

i went there today thinking we'd lose mainly because we haven't been playing full 4 quarters & at least we saw a 4 quarter effort & finished a bit short

as for the season being finished, i don't think we are as good as cd, wwt & nwd (not that far off though) but no the season isn't finished, it'll give some of the younger players some experience which will be better for us overall

as for the mark mickan rumours etc well i don't know how true or not they are but i'll say this the tigers looked like a team playing for each other, the coach etc etc today & they have all year
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

When we have a fully fit side, or close to it, and start to play to our potential, then we should start smashing everyone on our way to the 2011 Premiership.
