Obviously disappointing from a Norwood point of view, but you simply can't give a 5 goal start to Centrals :(
From 1/4 time it was 9 goals to 7, so reason to be optimistic should there be a GF rematch.

Thrashed in ruck it seems, is Doyle fit?
Not much from the tall forwards, some improvement needed there.

Something is horribly wrong when one club can dominate any competition for so long.

Time to wake up SANFL.

too good Dogs, but think Norwood showed enough to be pretty confident if they meet again.

One for the umps, take a close look at the deliberate out of bounds rule, saw at least 4 examples of the Dogs players taking it out deliberately without penalty.

Credit to the Legs for not giving in but you might as well start engraving the TSH right now.

Depressing...not so much that the Dogs are so dominant come finals time, but that the other clubs are not up to scratch.

One final and straight into the grannie seems such an unfair model...

Just awesome by Central. Norwood not disgraced by any means. Strange that both teams did better against the breeze in the first half.

Good win Doggies.
A battle. I reckon Norwood showed enough that should they get through, they can win it.
Puopolo was great for the Legs. Lower was also good, while Phillips and O'Donohue had their moments.

For the Dogs I thought Boyd, Jenner and Buckets were good.
Would like to see more from Sansbury. While the Gowans boys were serviceable, but...
Schell needs to stay down back for us I think.
Loved seeing Hayes up forward.

That's exactly the point. If Norwood had won, there'd be a buzz. They didn't, so what do we have?

Agreed.

Very even game except for the first qtr. Norwood controlled large parts of the game after 1/4 time, but sometimes didn't make it count on the scoreboard. The Centrals defence was very disciplined at times, slowing the game down as required.

Congrats to the Dogs on another GF. I reakon whoever makes it out of Norwood & Eagles has a good chance in the granny...both are playing excellent football at the right time of year...but won't be surprised if the Dogs prove me wrong.

All in all, if you told me at the start of the year Norwood would get within 4 goals of the Dogs in the 2nd semi final I'd have you committed so its still a damn good effort.
I reckon they'll learn a lot and with the Eagles injuries mounting up probably still give Central a better run in the GF.
Interested in what Central's fans think though.

Reminded me a bit of the 2002 2SF (being wishful of course!)

Dogs get buffer...opponents fight back...Dogs steady, slow things down...opponents break it open again and fight back further, but not quite enough. Dogs finish the job. Ferocious tackling too..good finals footy!

I am happy to be off to another Grand Final.

I can understand how other fans feel. Hwn we lost our 2nd GF in a row back in the 90s I was gutted.

Now that the good times are here I must enjoy it because we were a long time in the wilderness.

I was surprised that Norwood let us get the jump on them in the 1st quarter. We may have been a little lucky - we got some lucky goals and they missed a couple they would normally get. I expect that they will get another chance in 2 weeks time as the Eagles copped a few injuries.

If Norwood are back again in 2 weeks then Idon't think that they will make the same mistake and it will be a tough match - 50/50.
We used to be good :-(

It's funny how basically the entire crowd today was going for the Redlegs. Yep, everyone's just that sick of the Dogs.

Centrals lauched an ambush on Norwood in the first quarter, resulting in a 4.1 to 0.4 opening quarter against the breeze. Centrals were at their finals best while Norwood were a little shell shocked. With Centrals kicking with the breeze in the second quarter I expected the precession to continue. However, to Norwood's credit, they fought back in the second quarter kicking 3 goals to 1 to reduce the margin to 16 points.

The second half was typical of Centrals v Norwood matches recently - one side (Centrals today) throws a challenge and the opponent (Norwood today) responded. Every time Centrals kicked away I thought that was it, but Norwood just wouldn't go away and never gave up to their credit.

All up it was a fantastic second semi final and a great advertisment for the game. Only lowlight was Tony Dey's umpiring - again he showed he is an incompetent hack who should not be umpiring SANFL.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Agree.....but no other side wants to take the "step up" to challenge your side.

Just enjoy the ride ;)

Yeh fine your sick of it, well where not and if you are sick of it maybe the other teams should learn how to stand up because to date the Bays, eagles, double blues and now the redlegs cant seem to get the job done when it really matters.
Maybe the competition will get better if the Maggies eventually get there act together or if they start playing finals at Unley or the Parade!!!

It is not our job to come down to your level its yours to improve yourself to our standard.
