Surely that makes Healy safe for next year, especially if wins next week at Alberton. :D :D
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If North had played with that game plan all year his job security would never have been in doubt, I hope he's learnt from today if he's kept on. The last time North played like that was up until 3/4 time @ Noarlunga (RD2?), why has it taken so long to realise that you need to kick more goals than the opposition to win, and to kick more goals there needs to be a significant element of attack in the game plan?

How did North kick 15 goals? ... did they play 8 quarters?

Must have played well.

Did the Eagles just blow 3rd spot?

Centrals curse strikes again.

Was it a good game of footy or did the Eagles look flat?

I can state with complete confidence that if Glenelg beats Central next weekend, they will not win the next weekend.

Eagles butchered ball way too often going into forward 50 and North rebounded the turnover with run all day to eventually wear the Eagles down.
3rd spot gifted to Norwood. On that display, will lose to sturt the next 2 weeks.
Very disappointing, few highlights, Polec best for Eagles a gun!

If. the Eagles dish up that crap performance again anyone will beat them. How pathetic can the team get at this time of the year with such a prized ladder position on offer. FGS

If Eagles beat Sturt by enough they may still take third spot on the ladder. Unlikely but possible.

The forward line entries have been a problem over the past few weeks, as has been mentioned in the weekly coach's comments. We need Welsh back quickly and hopefully Salter is fit in a fortnight.

And yes I can't wait to watch Polec's development over the next few years in the Gold Coast midfield.

All the possible scenarios probably need a separate thread but if West beat Norwood, Eagles vs Sturt becomes a battle for third spot. Otherwise we would need to beat Sturt by about 12-15 goals more than Norwood beat West.

I believe score for North was 15 - 6 96 and thus was a 19point win.
According to Advertiser Eagles gained some % on Norwood even with the loss.

Very disappointing effort yesterday

With 3rd spot up for grabs - to show THAT lack of endeavour or desire to WORK HARD, pathetic!!!

I always support the players & rarely criticise them BUT - after that inept performance yesterday, particularly with The Bays doing the right thing by us (surely, someone told OUR players the 3/4 time score from Glenelg), that "effort" was horrible.

I hope Godden reads this ...

North kept us in the game, for much of it, by their errors & turnovers (particularly in the 1st half) - they should've won by more IMO.

Godden appears to have NO PLAN B - when things are going wrong, particularly up forward.
Sadly, I don't believe Day is up to League standard - too slow IMHO.

You can talk to the players after the game, you can say things in the media BUT...

YOU need to OWN some of it, as coach & coaching staff... we have some quality players in the 2s who deserve an opportunity before the season is gone.
