Reminiscent of centrals circa 95/96.
Although far fewer ferals, bogans and single mums this time round.

Really??
Obviously by their results against Sturt I can understand that viewpoint - but of all the teams I've seen this year South have been the least competitive and most lazy side I've seen. Watched them live and on TV. Based on what I've seen they appear to have gone backwards, based on what I saw last year.
Maybe they saved their worst for those two games?

And how does that reflect on their Coach am Bays ? Yes I dare to ask this question seeing YOU are saying they have gone backwards .
Now lets remember as well I've only seen south in a winning game

Not sure how you can say South have gone backwards this year. Already have more premiership points than last year for a start. South have been competitive in most games this year. In fact have hit the front in the last quarter in the last 2 weeks against North and today v port. Unfortunately for their long suffering fans they have been unable to sustain their efforts and go on with it.A lack of depth and consistency in the playing group are the major concern.
