Eagle News December 2009

Postby cd » Tue Dec 08, 2009 8:37 pm

First to all at SAfooty all the very best for the festive season - enjoy and keep safe.

To our loyal members we hope you have appreciated the amount of info coming to you from the club not just during the season but also in this pre-season period. As was said at the start of 2009 news and views from the club via Chris our CEO would go to members first via email and sms.

We have had a few ins and a few outs mainly with retirements but training is full steam ahead under the new coaching panel.

Today members received the email about our season launch and Christmas holiday get together at Woodville Oval on Thursday December 17th - bookings essential for the bistro on that night.

Interviews with Michael Godden, Craig Smith Scott Welsh, Craig Parry and Mark McKenzie. Also meet our new marketing manager Abel.

Usual meat tray raffles and special seafood trays as prizes too plus a lucky member draw which must be won on the night of $250 as well as the club's Christmas raffle draw with prizes of $2000, $1000 and $500 - tickets still available from the club.

Membership packages have been significantly upgraded with more discounts at the Bar and Bistro on Port Road and for merchandise plus a special members only scarf - details in post soon and are now on the web - web renewals also available. (Basic adult membership still at 2004 price)
All kids 12 and under now free membership to Macka's Pack with a terrific lot of benefits. Youth Members 13 to 17 only $15.

Remember the usual member's draw this Thursday then next Thursday our special season launch - get there early and join in the fun at Oval Ave.
See you at the Club

Bookings for a meal from the bistro are essential Micky - attending the members night and not wanting a meal - just turn up and enjoy!

I appreciated the letter in the mail saying I would've won the $500 members draw last Thursday night if I was there. Doh! I do get a free schooner if I hand the letter in at the bar though... :)

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I have to work through until 7:30pm that night. Make sure all SAFootyérs that go post how it turned out as I want to hear all the news.

On a slightly different subject when is the club's AGM.

When checking website always click on Eagles news tab - as we update the site regularly some items are only on front page for a day or two but are then stored under Eagle News.
The website has heaps of info well worth the time to explore it.
