Sam Jacobs

Might belong in the AFL forum, but congratulations to former Woodville/West Torrens ruckman/defender Sam Jacobs, who has been named on the bench for his debut with Carlton against Richmond tomorrow night.

Yes good luck to the big fella. I am surprised it has taken him this long tbh. He is a talented young ruckman.

Good luck to the Ranga, I remember he impressed me in his few league games for the Eagles before heading to the AFL...

It's been a long journey for the lad from the Adrosson Kangaroos on the Yorke Peninsula but hope he goes well...

Wasn't he delisted? And then re-rookied?

I've got to admit I never thought he would ever get a crack in the big league but he's been in the system for a while now and the hard work is starting to pay off. Good luck to him and importantly make me some cash in my DT. ;)

Correct NFC, he was de listed and then re-rookied at pick 75 !

Has been in reasonable form for the Bullants last year, and his tap work is good, just lacks a little around the ground. If he can get the ball down to Judd & Co, the Blues will go a bit better this season....

One of the better players in the Eagles underage teams, which is why he was picked up.

Don't know about anyone else, but I've been impressed tonight.

Very good at the taps, looked to get involved when the ball had hit the deck and his tackling was good.

Was at the game and he played very well. Thanks WWT. I think our rucking woes are starting to be no longer an issue at Carlton.
