Shouldn't it be 2nd runner up not 3rd runner up. To me it looks like the 3rd runner up came in at 4th place.

It should be: Club Champion
Runner up (2nd place)
2nd Runner up (3rd place)

That's true, but either 3rd or 4th place for Weatherald is excellent considering he missed the first 6 matches. I hope he has a couple of seasons left in him for Norwoods sake, and so he can reach that magical 300.

James Gallagher is a sensational footballer...would have to be one of my faves in the overall competition. A well deserved honour.

Pleasing also to see stalwarts of the competition, blokes like Zorzi, get recognised by their clubs for their efforts, unlike the umpires in awarding Magarey Medal votes.

Must admit I'm a little surprised Tim Weatherald finished 3rd, particularly given the solid year Trotter had.
Is 2009 the year of the Tiger?

It was interesting enough for the club to note during the presentation that for a full back to be a close runner up to an on-baller is somewhat uncustomary, yet nonetheless was indicative of the individual and his consistent performances throughout the season - especially given he is often much shorter than his full forward opponents.

Probably because he is a Crows player who is hosted by Norwood when not selected for the Crows.

Despite assertions he would be there, our event sold out quickly and as a result I think he was forced to confront his GlenelgPeterness and attend at the Bay.

Can confirm that Glenelg B&F bandwagon was full and that many on the waiting list did not get a guernsey for the night...

Looks like it is the PT "Bo" Morton night for SturtPeter. Hopefully he gets to sit with his fellow DB.org members...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

don't they count all grades for leding goal kicker. because taylor walker was second in the club in goal kicking if you look at all grades, like which most clubs do.

I think it is for the League team's leading goalkicker, Killa.

I think I know that because a young lad in the 19's was not recognised at his own presentation (only need a mention) of his achievement when travelling 600 km's a week to play a game. The lad name is shillabeer who kicked the most goals in a the club during the year, second in the goal kicking and 5th in tompkin (team's leading vote getter) and neveer played south which may have cost him goals and votes maybe.

What?
Who cares?
Mate, life and football doesn't always work that way. Get over it and tell the kid to just keep getting kicks and being a team player - he will get noticed.
Trust me there are lots of SANFL footballers making greater sacrifices than that with no recognition.
Why on earth does it matter how many goals he kicked? Maybe, just maybe, they thought he was selfish.
At 19 years of age football, let alone the SANFL & Norwood, owes him nothing.
Move on!

Is he related to David Shillabeer who played for the Redlegs in the 60s and 70s?
