2011 assured for the Magpies giving us reason to believe our long term future can be secured. Gives us another 18 months to gather support, sponsorships and redevelop the POW to gain more revenue.

Up to the Magpie faithful to support the POW now. Just get a TAB and I'll be there more often. ;)

How with 7000 members, as we're constantly told, do the Maggies still project a quarter of a million dollar shortfall for 2010?

And, on a side note, have most of those members got their packs yet?

So you'll be taking the opportunity to seek out Gary Metcalf on Sunday to thank him for making you find a more robust business plan to ensure your independant survival rather than one that would basically leave you as a poor pawn to an AFL franchise??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The Monies generated from the memberships will be used to pay off debt I would imagine, therefore in one hand and out the other. While it doesn't increase revenue it stops the debt growing.

As for the packs, no, I dont have mine yet but my son does.

I thought if you were to move your pokies from your club it had to be in a close kilometre radius of your oval. :?
If true the Northern suburbs would be out.

Norwod moved theirs from the Parade to Modbury which i think sets a precedent. As always Port follow us. :D

It used to be that you could only move them within a 5 km radius, but i think that was changed in 2005.
Still restrictions though, i don't think you can put them in certain areas that are deemed to be, if you like,
'problem gambling' suburbs.
