Let's just say that in one of the Whyman "incidents" some rather unecessary comments were made and it may not have been by the player(s) he ended up scuffling with? You would think in this day and age players would watch what they say?

3 weeks seems tough on Grocke for mine. I'll admit I didnt see it (standing behind the northern goals) but remembering some other incidents from recent years that got 3 weeks it must have been one almighty hit on the North player.

Anyway we accept the penalty and move on. Parry must be a dead cert to return this week now.

He did cause him to be stretchered off and end up in hospital so I think that says it all. Fair call though re moving on - done and dusted and what has been forgotten in all of this is that the Eagles were far to good on the day and have shown that they are the real deal re the flag. With Grocke and Salter missing, the Eagles have the depth to ride out the next few weeks. I didn't count Schulz as I am sure most Eagle fans didnKt factor him into playing any SANFL this year.

I was thinking we'd have either one of Schultz or Salter most weeks, as I saw them pretty much competing for the same spot in the Port side. But we'll just have Welsh, and maybe Hill up there this week, but that could be a blessing to get a bit on confidence in a couple of blokes and test Godden as a coach.

Surprised Whyman didn't get a game despite being found guilty twice. Grocke no surprise, and Salter was always going to get 1, even though it wouldn't even have warranted a report in ye olden times.
