There are two Miles named on the bench for Sturt. Is one of them Myles who played a couple of games last year?

I was actually angling for a description of their playing style rather than a mug shot. Thanks anyway.

You missed one anyway, has Gorringe played before or will it be a debut?

haha...even my multi-tasking skills aren't infallible.

As far as I know he's only recently got back from the AIS/AFL trip to the other SA (Sarf Afrika) so I don't think he's played this season although he might have had a go in the trial games...one of the stats gurus is bound to know.

Reckon Dan Gorringe had a run in the League for a game or 2 last year mate, Evans certainly did making his debut against South late in 09 and has played a couple this season also.

Gorringe is very clean with his ruck work and perhaps needs to work on his around the ground a bit more (no disrespect to Dan intended, how many kids are perfect) and Evo perhaps needs more consistency with his disposal, however is a good finder of the ball and very courageous.

Gorringe's talents and stature look to have him almost certainly headed to the big stage, whilst Evans looks to be a 10 year SANFL player at this point in time.

I would assume that only one Miles on the 4 man bench so one to miss out
it would be Sam Miles named in the seniors
the other Myles is Jake Myles who played a couple of games last year and he is named in the 2's squad, but his form in the 2's has been good so he must be knocking on the door also

He's been with us since the beginning of 09 but had a bit of a shocker with injury last year. He would have been playing league alot sooner had it not been for this. Tough in and under forward. Reckon you'll see him alot more of him in 2010.

Yes he is from SS reserves
Fitted in well with Chambo, Fish, Stiffy junior in the forward line as a lead up player

Dunno if he is a midfield option, insufficient data at this stage
He looks like a player that could rebound well of the half back line or as a sweeper

Tim McIntyre was originally from the Corowa-Rutherglen Football Club, the Kangaroos, in the Ovens & Murray Football League...

I saw some of Tim's reserves games last year and then in the reserves a few weeks, against the Eagles at Unley, and actually mentioned to a couple of the 5RPH commentators that I thought he was a very good footballer and wouldn't be suprised to see him play league footy for the Double Blues this year...

Couldn't agree more! He's one of these blokes that you just notice.

Although a bit older, and he hasn't done a whole lot yet, with the AFL clubs now looking to mature aged players, if he keeps it up you never know...

Good luck to him, is a very good player but will be a blow to the Sturt side for this game...

What you said! Congrats to Matty on his debut, well deserved given his awesome form this year.

He's got all the attributes AFL clubs look for. Speed, skillful and poised. WILL make it.
